A Cruelty Free Dupe for the Benefit Porefessional Primer

thumbnail (53)

The Benefit Porefessional Primer is a product that many people swear by to fill in large pores but it’s $32.00 for 0.75 ounces and more importantly, it’s not cruelty free. I was very excited, however, when I got a sample size with an Ulta order. My goal was to try it and find a more affordable and cruelty free dupe, which I believe I have done.

There is one primer that I use daily because I can actually see a difference in my pores when I use it and that is the Hard Candy Pore Defense Primer Serum. This primer is available at WalMart and is $8.00 for 1.62 ounces. It’s obviously a much more affordable option than the Benefit Porefessional but does it work as well?

In my opinion, it works better. I have very large pores and I didn’t notice much of a difference when I used the Benefit Porefessional. The Hard Candy Primer not only fills in my pores but it helps my makeup to last longer and is oil and silicone free.

I have tried so many pore filling primers and the Hard Candy Primer Serum always comes out on top. If you’re looking for a cruelty free dupe for the Benefit Porefessional or just a good pore filling primer in general, I don’t think you’d regret trying this one. I’d love to know what you’re favorite pore filling primer is! Thanks for reading and have a great day!

Porefessional doesn’t really work for me either. My favorite pore fillets are the ones from Smashbox, NYX and the L’Oreal Magic Perfecting Base. The one from Dr Brandt isn’t bad either.

  2. Thank you for sharing this! I use the benefit professional primer because I got the same size for free from Ulta. However, I don’t see much of a difference and never looked for another one. I will definitely buy this one and try it out!!
