I love the Dose of Colors matte liquid lipsticks and had been curious about their lip glosses. However, their lip glosses are $17.00 apiece… that’s pricey for some gloss. Last year they released a Mickey Mouse themed collection and I really loved the gloss called One and Only. I lucked up and was able to get it on sale for around $8.00. One and Only is a cool toned, brown nude and it is still available but limited edition. So, is it worth its full price of $17.00?
No. No it is not. I’ve been wearing this gloss religiously for the past few months. I LOVE it. It is a perfect nude shade, the formula is thick but not sticky, the color is opaque, it has a wide doe foot applicator and even has a vanilla scent. My only complaint is if I applied too much, it would gunk up around the inner rim of my lips. I’m assuming it does this because the formula is so thick. Even with all of those good aspects, I still can’t recommend this gloss at full price. Why? The NYX Intense Butter Glosses have the exact same formula, however, I think they might be being discontinued so the next best option is the NYX Butter Glosses for just $5.00. I mean, they even have the same vanilla scent.
I’m all about looking beautiful but I don’t think you need to buy high end products to achieve that look. One of the things I love the most about having this blog is helping all of you find affordable options. I hope this helped you out if you’ve been curious about the Dose of Colors lip glosses and I’d love to know what you think about my review! Thanks for reading and have a great day!
Very nice review!! I agree with you, I don’t thin we need to spend a lot of money to achieve a certain look. NYX’s butter gloss seems like an amazing alternative!!

It’s almost identical! It’s crazy how close the formulas are. Thank you for commenting!
