Today’s post is going to be a little different. I think it’s time to change some things around here that I don’t feel are working for me anymore; primarily, the video game reviews. I LOVE playing games, reviewing them and creating makeup looks based off them. It’s fun and allows me to get creative with my makeup. However, these posts take the longest to do. I don’t mind putting the time into them if it’s fun for me and the posts are being enjoyed by all of you… Sadly, that is just no longer the case.

Since I started the video game reviews, they have consistently received the least amount of views of everything I post. That was fine with me because I was enjoying them but unfortunately, I no longer am. At the end of the day, this is a hobby for me and I’m always going to prioritize what I want to do. These reviews have begun to feel like a chore and there’s no point in forcing myself to do them. I’m not saying that I’ll never review another game because I’m sure I will. I’m just putting a stop to this type of post for now.

If you glance around my blog, you’ll notice that I tend to stick to a schedule. There are typically three posts every week, two are beauty related and one is book related. I do occasionally put up a bonus post on the weekend and I do a wrap up post at the end of every month. The video game reviews enabled me to take a break from beauty and books. I still want that so on the last Friday of every month, I’m planning to do whatever I want.

I want to leave that day open and flexible so I can bring in new content. I would like to include more lifestyle based posts, especially recipes and things like that. Having that day open will still allow me to be creative while (hopefully) bringing all of you something enjoyable to read.
