I’m back with another Makeup Revolution palette review! Their palettes are some of my absolute favorites and just so underrated. The one I’m reviewing today, the Crystal Aura Aventurine Eyeshadow Palette, has gotten almost no hype and it’s truly one of the best palettes I own. The color story is especially perfect for summer to fall transitional looks.

This palette is $15.00 but at the time of writing this post (09/02/23), it’s $7.50 at Ulta. It contains eighteen shades: six mattes and twelve metallics/shimmers. The packaging is made of tin, has a mirror and a firm clasp closure. I personally love the tin packaging, but some may not. With the basic info out of the way, let’s talk pros and cons!
Pros:
- As I said above, this is the perfect summer to fall color story. Of course, you can use this palette year round but the blues paired with the golds scream summer while the olive greens paired with the deeper mattes are great for fall.
- I like that this is mainly a metallic/shimmer palette. In my day to day life, I typically blend one shimmer all over the lid, put another in my inner corner and that’s it. This palette is perfect to use for those simple looks because most of the shades are light and easy to apply with just a finger.
- For the most part, the mattes in this palette were great. Stabilise and Creativity were especially good.
- The metallics in this palette are so creamy and high shine.
Cons:
- The shade Harmony, matte deep brown, could look muddy and patchy when blended. I prefer to use this shade on the lower lash line.
- The shades Achieve and Success look a bit too similar on the eyes. Achieve is more of a smooth metallic while Success is packed with shimmer but they have the same base color.
Swatches & Shade Descriptions:
These eyeshadows do have names but no shade descriptions so I will describe them to the best of my ability. I’ll be going from left to right, top row to bottom row. These photos were taken with flash to show off the sparkle.
