Viseart Paris is one of those brands that has always seemed fancy to me. They are on the higher end of the price spectrum with products ranging from around $30.00 to $80.00. I really wanted to try the brand but I don’t love buying makeup at full price. I decided to wait for a sale and then picked up the Cashmerie Etendu Eyeshadow Palette. This palette is typically $44.00 but if you’re reading this the day it goes up, Black Friday 2023, this palette is on sale for $30.80. That still isn’t super affordable so I will give you some alternatives at the end of this post. So, did this palette live up to my expectations? Yes… and no.

This palette contains twelve shades, four mattes and eight metallics. It is quite small and compact. I expected it to be larger but I’m fine with the smaller size. It has cardboard packaging with a magnetic closure and a mirror. All of the shades are magnetic so they can easily be rearranged or swapped around within other Viseart palettes.
Pros:
- I love the cool toned color story and how all of the shades work together. You can take your looks in a brown, mauve or taupe direction.
- The mattes are truly some of the best I’ve ever used. They practically blend themselves.
- The metallics are also fantastic. They’re smooth and would look great on more mature eyes.
Cons:
- On the Viseart website, the shades Burlesque, Jazz and Roaring are described as duochromes. There is nothing duochromatic about these shades. They’re beautiful… but not duochromes.
- This palette isn’t going to be the right choice for lovers of vibrant makeup. All of the shadows are on the more subtle side. This isn’t a con for me personally but I wouldn’t want somebody to buy this expecting duochromes and intense, high shine shades and then not get that.
Swatches & Shade Descriptions:
These eyeshadows do have names and shade descriptions so I will copy those from the website. I’ll be going from left to right, top row to bottom row. These photos were taken with flash to show off the sparkle.

Final Thoughts:
My first experience with Viseart was a good one. This palette is beautiful and the formula is a dream to use. It doesn’t give the most oomph on the eyes but it’s perfect for lovers of simple makeup and people who are too busy to fuss with complicated eyeshadow. However, it is pricy and the looks it creates aren’t so unique that they can’t be replicated. The formula is very, very similar to Undone Beauty. If you own the Curator Eye Palette in Bare and Curator Eye Quad in Outfit Optional, you can recreate the looks I did above for a fraction of the cost.
Do I recommend Viseart? Yes but get it on sale. Their shipping is expensive, around $10.00, so I will only purchase if the sale price makes the shipping worth it. I’d love to know what you think about the brand or the alternatives I suggested. Thanks for reading and have a great day!
