Fantasy Cosmetica Druid Palette & Lost Library Lipstick Reviews

I recently reviewed the Fantasy Cosmetica Fighter Eyeshadow Palette and today I want to talk about the other goodies I bought from the brand, the Druid Eyeshadow Palette and Lost Library Lipstick. Let’s talk about the lipstick first!

The Lost Library Lipstick is $11.00 and I have the shade Buried; a deep brick brown red. This formula is described as being creamy, smooth, opaque, and comfortable with a light grape scent. I agree with all of those claims. The packaging is light but doesn’t feel cheap and it has a magnetic closure.

I absolutely ADORE the packaging on this lipstick. I’m not even going to lie, I mainly bought it for the packaging but I also love the color. I’m not super crazy about the formula, though. It is comfortable but it’s very creamy, almost too creamy. It slips around on the lips, transfers like crazy and can get on the teeth. I found it wore best if I blotted it. This definitely isn’t the worst formula I’ve tried but I doubt I’ll buy more shades. I hope the brand releases satin or matte lip products in the future. Now, let’s talk about the palette!

The Druid Eyeshadow Palette is $39.00 and contains nine shades: four mattes, one shimmer, two tri chromes and two multichromes. It has cardboard packaging with a mirror and a firm magnetic closure. One thing I really love about this brand is all of their palettes are magnetic and you can purchase each shadow as a single. I wish all brands would provide singles as an option because if you really love one shade in the palette and use it up, you can just repurchase that one shadow. I wanted to include that here because I feel it goes along with the packaging details but now let’s get into the pros and cons!

😄Pros:

  • I really like the grungy, earthy color story in this palette. This palette also has some really special shades.
  • All of the mattes performed well. They were more pigmented than the ones in the Fighter Palette so I had to be more careful when using them but I still had no issues with blending. Sage was my favorite of the mattes.
  • Balance and Transformation, the two tri chromes, are so beautiful and special. If you were going to buy singles from this palette, I would recommend those two the most.
  • All of the shimmers were easy to work with, smooth and had little fallout.

😣Cons:

  • Serenity, the shimmer green, is beautiful but I wish it was a murkier green. I would have loved if it was the same tone as Sage. I feel it’s a bit too bright for the color story.
  • I found Regrowth to be quite lackluster. It’s supposedly a duochrome red with a green flip but on the eyes, it just looks like a matte muted red with gold sparkle.

Swatches & Shade Descriptions:

These eyeshadows do have names and shade descriptions so I will copy them from the brand’s website. I’ll be going from left to right, top row to bottom row. These photos were taken with flash to show off the sparkle.

Eyeshadow Looks:

I created two looks using this palette. I love them both equally. I don’t always wear an eye primer but I do set my base with a cream colored shadow.

  1. I blended Sage into my crease and smudged it on my lower lash line.
  2. I deepened my crease with Root and smudged it on my lower lash line.
  3. I applied Bear Form on my lid.
  4. I tapped Balance over my lid and applied it in my inner corner.
  5. I applied Serenity in a thin, half arch closest to my nose and applied it on my lower lash line.
  1. I blended Forest into my crease and smudged it on my lower lash line.
  2. I deepened my crease with Old Growth and smudged it on my lower lash line.
  3. I applied Regrowth on my lid.
  4. I applied Transformation on my lid.
  5. I applied Balance in my inner corner.

Brushes Used:

If you are curious about any of the other products on my face, you can find these looks in my recent posts on Instagram.

Final Thoughts:

Fantasy Comsetica is such a fun and unique brand. You can tell they put a lot of thought into their releases and I will buy more from them in the future. If you’ve tried anything from the brand, let me know what you think. Thanks for reading and have a great day!
