Reviews for Excellent AND Affordable Products from Makeup Revolution✨

If the picture above looks strange, it’s because it originally had an eyeshadow palette in it and I had to crop it out. Makeup Revolution decided to discontinue their Reloaded Basic Mattes Eyeshadow Palette the week I decided to write this post🥴 There isn’t much of a point in me reviewing a palette that no longer exists so I’m going to focus on the other three products that are still available. Let’s talk about the highlighter first!

The Beam Bright Highlighter is $10.00 and I have the shade Golden Gal. As the name would suggest, this is a yellow gold highlighter. The packaging is plastic but it’s sturdy and doesn’t feel cheap. The brand claims this is a silky formula that melts into the skin but I have to slightly disagree. I think this highlighter is beautiful and I do like the way it looks on the skin. It’s not an overly glittery formula and gives a smooth glow. However, it’s a dry baked formula. When I first tried to use it, I got ZERO product on the brush. It wasn’t until I scraped off the top layer that I was able to get anything to show up. If you’re willing to do that, though, I think this is a fantastic highlighter.

The Mega Bronzer is $8.00 and I have the shade Cool. The packaging is plastic and unlike the highlighter, it does feel a bit cheap and flimsy. As for the color, it’s exactly what I hoped it would be. It’s warm enough to be a bronzer and not a contour but it definitely has a cooler undertone that prevents it from looking orange. I’m not a big fan of bronzer but this one is the best I’ve tried and I’ve used it so much. The formula is also fantastic. It’s super silky and easy to blend. I feel like bronzer can look overdone and too dark but this one isn’t overly pigmented. If you have a skin tone similar to mine and you’ve struggled to find a good bronzer, this one is great.

The Pout Bomb Plumping Lip Gloss is $7.00 and I have the shade Cookie Deep Nude. I struggled to find this on the website because they have it listed as just Cookie while the packaging says Deep Nude. As far as I can tell, they are the same. I wouldn’t say this is a deep shade but I think it’s a good warm nude. This gloss is packaged in a thick tube with a large doe foot. I don’t really like this packaging simply because the thicker tube doesn’t fit in my lip product container. Other than that, the packaging is fine and the formula makes up for it. This gloss has a minty scent and does slightly tingle on the lips but I don’t notice much of a plumping affect. However, I still love the formula in general. It’s a thicker gloss but not sticky and it actually stays for quite awhile on the lips. I’m really interested in getting more shades in this formula.

Final Thoughts:

I hate I couldn’t talk about the palette because it’s full of excellent, staple matte shades. I will never understand why brands discontinue some things and not others but I’m glad I got to share these other gems with you. Let me know if you’ve tried or are interested in any of these products! Thanks for reading!
