This Palette Is SO Good! Sinister Love Cosmetics Love Sick Review💜

I came across the indie brand Sinister Love Cosmetics a few months ago on Instagram and absolutely fell in love with their Love Sick Eyeshadow Palette. My husband has a plague doctor tattoo and when I showed the palette to him, he bought it for me for Christmas. I couldn’t find any reviews for this palette so I wasn’t sure if it would be good but thankfully, it’s fantastic.

The Love Sick Eyeshadow Palette is $32.00 and contains twelve shades. There are seven mattes, one satin, three metallics and one shimmer topper. This palette has cardboard packaging, a mirror and a magnetic closure. Let’s get into the pros and cons!

❤Pros:

  • I love the theme and color story of this palette. The theme is special to me because as I mentioned above, my husband has a plague doctor tattoo. The color story is what I would consider to be soft and romantic with the ability to get dark and smoky. It’s very versatile.
  • The mattes were perfect. They all blended easily and had no fallout.
  • The metallics and shimmer topper were beautiful. I had no issues with fallout or with blending.

💔Cons:

  • My only cons are based purely on personal preference. I’m not super into mattes so I wish one of the lighter pink shades would have been a shimmer. I also would have liked for there to be a lavender shade, like what’s on the palette artwork.

Swatches & Shade Descriptions:

These eyeshadows do have names but no shade descriptions on the website so I will describe them to the best of my ability. I’ll be going from left to right, top row to bottom row. These photos were taken with flash to show off the sparkle.

  • Bubonic Black– matte black
  • Lovelorn Pestilence– matte royal blue
  • Loves Contagious– matte pink
  • You Make Me Weak-metallic bronze with a red undertone
  • Infected With Your Love– matte peach
  • Sickly Sweet– matte fuchsia
  • Plagued Thoughts– satin black with red shimmer
  • Feverish Desire– matte red
  • You’re My Medicine– metallic icy pink
  • Affection Injection– matte peachy pink
  • Dose Of Romance– shimmer topper with a translucent icy pink base and gold, pink, blue and white shimmer
  • You’re The Cure– metallic white

Eyeshadow Looks:

I created two looks using this palette and I love how both of them turned out. I don’t typically wear an eye primer but I do set my base.

  1. I blended Affection Injection above my crease, near my brow.
  2. I blended Loves Contagious into my inner crease.
  3. I blended both Sickly Sweet and Lovelorn Pestilence into my outer crease. I also applied them on the outermost part of my lid and smudged on my lower lash line.
  4. I applied You’re My Medicine on my lid.
  5. I applied Dose of Romance on top of You’re My Medicine.
  6. I applied You’re The Cure in my inner corner and on my brow bone.
  7. I applied Plagued Thoughts on my water line.
  1. I blended Infected With Your Love into my crease.
  2. I applied Feverish Desire on my lid and blended it up into my crease.
  3. I applied You Make Me Weak on my lid and smudged it on my lower lash line.
  4. I applied Dose of Romance in my inner corner.
  5. I applied You’re The Cure on my brow bone.
  6. I applied Bubonic Black on my water line.

✨If you are curious about any of the other products on my face, you can find these looks in my recent posts on Instagram.

Final Thoughts:

This palette was a very pleasant surprise. I didn’t expect it to be bad but I also didn’t expect to enjoy it as much as I do. I will definitely be keeping my eye on what Love Sick Cosmetics releases in the future. Let me know what you think about the palette and the looks I created! Thanks for reading!
