Happy Halloween🎃 Beauty Creations Goosebumps Collection Review!

I had never tried anything from Beauty Creations before but when they announced their Goosebumps collab, I HAD to buy it. The full collection, what I bought, was $67.00 but I will let you know how much each item costs individually. I have always loved Goosebumps so I wanted this purely for nostalgic reasons but I was actually impressed by the quality of most of this collection.

The Haunted Mask Mirror is $22.00. I’m not a big fan of handheld mirrors but I love this one. It has a nice weight to it and of course, I am happy with it because of the nostalgia. I do think $22.00 is a very steep price for a mirror so I would either get this in the collection or wait for a sale.

The P-Ouch Cosmetic Bag is $12.00. While I don’t think the price is terrible, this isn’t the most high quality bag. It’s made from cheap, inflexible plastic and I could see the Gs and hearts rubbing away over time. The zipper is sturdy and the bag is a nice size with a divider in the middle.

The Monster Blood Jelly Mask is $8.00 and while aesthetically pleasing, it was a major fail. This mask burned my skin as soon as I applied it and I had to remove it. I do have sensitive skin, though, so it might work for you.

The Monster Blood II Lip & Cheek Oil and Jellyjam Glitter Lip Balm can be purchased together for $12.00 or separately for $7.00 each. Both of these lip products are Ph adjusting, which just means they turn bright pink. I don’t really love or hate this and I understand why the brand went in this direction. Most people can wear a more sheer, pink toned lip product rather than a specific color. You can see both of them on my lips in the pictures below. Both lippies are strawberry scented.

The Monster Blood II Lip Oil is quite pigmented and leaves behind a long lasting stain. It’s comfortable on the lips but can feel drying after a few hours. It can also be used on the cheeks but I didn’t try it like that. Something to keep in mind, the tube will leak if it’s on its side.

The Jellyjam Glitter Lip Balm is a sheer balm packed with pink sparkle. I didn’t notice it changing color but I did wear it on top of the lip oil. I like both of these lip products but if I had to pick, I would choose the Monster Blood II Lip & Cheek Oil. It just gives a bit more oomph than the Glitter Lip Balm does.

The If Looks Could Kill Shadow & Face Palette is $14.00. It has sturdy cardboard packaging with a magnetic closure and mirror. I absolutely adore how this palette looks like one of the books and has “wearer beware” instead of “reader beware” on the back.

There are nine eyeshadows and two blushes in this palette. Four of the eyeshadows are matte, three are metallic and two are mattes with glitter. Both of the blushes are matte but they have a creamy formula that is very easy to blend and build. The formulas in this palette overall are great. The mattes were very easy to work with and blend. The metallics were my favorite because they’re SO high shine and shimmery. I had no issues with fallout from any of the shades. My only complaint is I wish there was a light inner corner shade, other than the matte white. That shade does have some glitter but it’s not noticeable on the eyes. Other than that, I have no issues with this palette and it’s my favorite part of the whole collection.

These eyeshadows do have names but no shade descriptions on the website so I will describe them to the best of my ability. I’ll be going from left to right, top row to bottom row.

  • Ghost White– matte white with silver shimmer
  • Out of Luck– matte cream
  • Mud Monster– matte clay
  • Pretty Weird– metallic lavender with gold shimmer
  • Slime Shine– metallic acid green with gold shimmer
  • Heart Stopper– metallic red with pink shimmer
  • Freaky– matte grungy chartreuse
  • Cursed– matte deep brown
  • Drop Dead– matte black with silver shimmer
  • Slappy Red– matte peachy pink
  • To Die For– matte rose

Eyeshadow Looks:

I created two looks using this palette and I really like how each one turned out! I don’t typically wear an eye primer but I do set my base with a skin tone colored eyeshadow. I was having issues with some eye lid dryness and irritation so if you notice any patchiness, it’s not the fault of the eyeshadows.

  1. I set my base with Out of Luck.
  2. I blended Freaky into my crease.
  3. I applied Slime Shine on my lid and smudged it on my lower lash line.
  4. I applied Ghost White on my brow bone and in my inner corner.
  5. I applied Pretty Weird in my inner corner.
  6. I applied Cursed on my water line.
  7. I used the blush in Slappy Red on my cheeks.
  1. I set my base with Out of Luck.
  2. I blended Mud Monster into my crease.
  3. I deepened my crease with Cursed and smudged it on my lower lash line.
  4. I applied Heart Stopper on my lid.
  5. I applied Ghost White on my brow bone and in my inner corner.
  6. I applied Drop Dead on my waterline.
  7. I used the blush in To Die For on my cheeks.

✨If you are curious about any of the other products on my face, you can find these looks in my recent posts on Instagram.

Final Thoughts:

This collection was a mixture of hit and miss products but I’m still happy that I bought it. I was very impressed with the quality of the eyeshadows and blushes. I’m definitely interested in trying more from Beauty Creations. If you have any favorites from them, please let me know! Thanks for reading!
