Beauty Favorites of 2023!

I really dropped the ball this year on makeup reviews. Between burn out and chasing a toddler, I just didn’t have the desire to test out a ton of new products. Luckily, in the past few months, I’ve started really having fun with makeup again. Typically, I do a favorites post about the makeup I used the most during the year, whether I reviewed it within that year or not. I decided to change this post up and narrow it down to the best products I tried within 2023. I didn’t try a ton but from what I did, there are some gems. I do have a few more things that I want to test out in December so if they end up being favorites, I’ll talk about them in 2024. Let’s discuss the best of the best!

• Looxi Beauty– At the beginning of the year, I created a winter inspired palette using mostly Looxi Beauty singles. I love my Looxi singles and have loved them for years. They’re so affordable and beautiful. I have much more than what is pictured above and I want to do more with them in the coming year. You can see the post about this palette here.

• Colourpop Snow White Collection– I bought a few things from the Snow White collection and of what I bought, the Super Shock Cheeks, Lux Lip Gloss and Lux Lipstick were my absolute favorites. I love the Lux Lipstick formula in general and I own almost all of the Princess themed ones. I hope to actually review those in the coming year. • Makeup Revolution Regal Romance Eyeshadow Palette– This palette is just perfect for soft, feminine looks. The shimmers in it are truly special. You can see my full review here.

• essence Pure Nude Baked Blushes and Highlighter– If glowy, smooth cheek products are your thing, these from essence are perfect, especially for the price. You can see my full reviews for all three here.

• Burt’s Bees– This was the year of discovering Burt’s Bees for me. I tried out a good bit from them but the stand outs were the BB Cream, Blushes, Lip Glosses and Matte Sticks. These products have become staples in my routine. You can see my full reviews for all of these products here.

• Milani Fruit Fetish Lip Oils– These Lip Oils have been favorites for a long time but I reviewed the new Nude options this year so I had to include them. You can see my review here.

• Makeup Revolution Aventurine Eyeshadow Palette– The formula in the Makeup Revolution Forever Flawless palettes is one of my favorites so it’s no surprise that there’s another palette on this list. The Aventurine is perfect for murky green and neutral lovers. You can see my review here.

• Makeup Revolution Twisted Fantasy Eyeshadow Palette– This palette contains some of the best metallic shadows I own. They are SO foiled and shimmery. The mattes are good but the metallics are special. You can see my review here.

• Give Me Glow Cosmetics Haunted Pumpkin Eyeshadow Palette– I tried Give Me Glow for the first time this year and fell in love! This spooky themed palette is *chef’s kiss* You can see my review here.

• Viseart Cashmerie Etendu Eyeshadow Palette– Another new to me brand this year was Viseart. I was highly impressed with this palette and it’s become my staple for “busy mom” makeup. You can see my review here.

• Undone Beauty Mega Creme– I haven’t had a chance to review these yet, which is why I’m including swatches, but they’re so good that I had to include them here. I have Espresso Creme and Strawberry Creme. Surprisingly, Espresso Creme, the deeper option, is my favorite of the two. It gives the most beautiful berry toned cheek. This formula is effortless to work with and my only complaint is that they stay slightly tacky. These are my favorite cream blushes that I own, though.
