If you missed it, I reviewed the Colourpop Snow White Dreams Come True Eyeshadow Palette a few days ago. Today I want to talk about the rest of the products I bought from the collection; two blushes in Just Rosy and I Wish I Wish and the lip kit in Thy Magic Spell. Let’s talk about the blushes first!
Three Super Shock Blushes released with this collection and I bought two of them, I Wish I Wish and Just Rosy. I Wish I Wish is described as a pink with a gold duo chrome finish and Just Rosy is a blackberry with a pinky duo chrome finish. They are $10.00 each and a cream to semi powder formula. They don’t 100% dry to a powder finish but they get pretty close. Both have a glowy finish but I Wish I Wish is much more shimmery than Just Rosy. Just Rosy has a more satin finish, which I prefer.
In the picture on the left, I’m wearing I Wish I Wish. In the middle picture, I’m wearing both blushes mixed together and in the picture on the right, I’m wearing Just Rosy. I absolutely love both of these blushes. This was my first time using a Super Shock Blush in about five years and at the moment, it’s my favorite cream formula. However, I only liked applying them with my fingers. I could not get even coverage with a brush or sponge but that’s not a deal breaker for me. If you like glowy cream products, these two blushes are gorgeous.
The Thy Magic Spell Lip Kit is $20.00 and contains a Lippie Pencil, Lux Lipstick and Lux Lip Gloss. The lip liner and lipstick are a deep red violet shade while the gloss is clear with a lavender/blue tint. This was my first experience with the Lippie Pencil and Lux Lip Gloss formulas. I don’t care for the Lippie Pencil. It drags on the lips more than I prefer and seems to make it more difficult to get an even line. The Lux Lip Gloss has a great formula, however. It’s not the most long lasting but it does have a bit of tackiness that helps it hang around on the lips. This particular one is apple scented, a detail I just adore. I also love the Lux Lipstick. This formula can be VERY long lasting if you blot it. The lipstick itself has apples carved into it which again, is a detail I love.
While I really like the gloss and lipstick, I don’t love them together. The gloss makes the lipstick super goopy and it transfers like crazy, even on to the teeth. I would never feel comfortable wearing them together. As a side note, I also don’t feel that this lip kit goes with the Dreams Come True Eyeshadow Palette. I really struggled to create a look that would go with the lip color. I would have loved for there to be an Evil Queen inspired palette to go with the kit and that’s something I plan to do with single shadows. Other than that, I really enjoy these products and recommend them.
Final Thoughts:
Overall, the Snow White Collection has hits and misses but I’m happy with what I purchased. I would love to know if you bought anything and what you think! Thanks for reading and have a great day!
