Trying a New (To Me) Indie Brand! Ladybug Glow Krampus Eve Eyeshadow Palette Review❄

48

I always love finding new indie makeup and when I saw the Krampus Eve Eyeshadow Palette on Instagram, I had to buy it. This wonderful little palette is from Ladybug Glow. They are a small indie brand exclusively on Etsy. This was my first time taking a chance on a brand from Etsy but I’m so glad that I did.

This palette is $32.00 and contains nine shades, eight mattes and one rainbow multichrome shimmer. It has cardboard packaging with a magnetic closure and a mirror. Typically, this is where I would go into my pros and cons but I have no cons.

I love everything about this palette. I think the theme and color story is so fun. All of the mattes perform wonderfully. These types of colors can be intimidating to work with but this formula was incredibly easy to blend and build up.  I also had almost no fallout with any of them.

The rainbow multichrome shimmer is a unique gem in my collection. You can mix all the colors together, what I did, or use a small brush to dip into the five individual shades within the one pan. This shadow looked beautiful on its own and on top of the mattes.

Swatches & Shade Descriptions:
These eyeshadows do not have names or shade descriptions so I will describe them to the best of my ability. I’ll be going from left to right, top row to bottom row. These photos were taken with flash to show off the sparkle. The second photo is the rainbow shimmer on top of each of the mattes. It really transforms them.

  • One– matte deep teal blue
  • Two– matte olive green
  • Three– matte sky blue
  • Four– matte mauve
  • Five– rainbow shimmer with orange, pink, yellow, green and blue sparkles
  • Six– matte acid green
  • Seven– matte teal green
  • Eight– matte burgundy
  • Nine– matte indigo

19Eyeshadow Looks:

I created three looks using this palette. I don’t typically wear an eye primer but I do always set my base.

  1. I blended Three above my crease and down into my inner corner. I also applied it in my water line.
  2. I blended Nine into my crease.
  3. I applied One all over my lid and blended it up into my crease. I also smudged it on my lower lash line.
  4. I applied Five on my lid and in my inner corner.
  1. I blended Four into my crease and applied it on my water line.
  2. I applied Eight all over my lid and blended it into my crease.
  3. I applied Five on my lid and in my inner corner.
  4. I smudged Two on my lower lash line.
  1. I blended Six above my crease and applied it on my water line.
  2. I blended Seven into my crease and smudged it on my lower lash line.
  3. I applied Two on my lid and blended it up into my crease. I also smudged it on my lower lash line.
  4. I applied Five on my lid and in my inner corner.

Brushes Used:
Crease Brush
Detail Crease Brush
Flat Eyeshadow Brush
Angled Liner/Brow Brush
Smudge Brush
Eye Crease Brush– I use this for inner corner & brow highlights.
Wide Tapered Brush– I use this brush to blend out the edges and set my primer.

If you are curious about any of the other products on my face, you can find these looks in my recent posts on Instagram.

Final Thoughts:

This palette does have a sister called Krampus Continued. I would like to buy it because I’m sure I would enjoy it just as much but I went a little palette crazy on Black Friday😬 I will probably end up skipping it but I’m very happy with Krampus Eve. If you’re looking for a unique holiday palette, I can’t recommend this one enough. Thanks for reading and have a great day!
