Way back in the early days of my blog, I reviewed the Milani Conceal + Perfect Foundation. It was disgustingly orange and I remember thinking the formula was just okay. I decluttered it and didn’t think of it again. A few years ago, though, Milani released new shades. I meant to try it again then but never got around to it. I recently saw it on the Ulta website, though, and decided to give it another go.

The original shade I had was 01 Creamy Vanilla so this time I went with 00B Light. Surprisingly, this shade is a bit too light for me and if I repurchased it, I would get 00BB Nude. I do like the undertone of this foundation, though. It is warm leaning but I would say it has more of a peach tint than orange or yellow. This foundation is $12.00 and you get one fluid ounce of product. It’s packaged in a glass bottle with a pump. It claims to be a foundation and concealer all in one that is waterproof, sweatproof and matte. It also claims to have medium to full coverage.
The only claims I agree with is the coverage and finish. This foundation is definitely not sweatproof or waterproof. On my combo skin with acne scars, it provided medium coverage and wore fairly well throughout the day but it did crease into my fine lines and settle into pores. However, I loved the satin matte finish, how easy it was to blend and how it worked well with everything I paired with it. It’s not a fussy foundation and with primer and powder, you can get a good wear time; around six to eight hours.

The top two pictures are of my bare skin and the bottom two are with one layer of foundation. I think it did a good job of evening out my skin tone and providing medium coverage.
These two pictures are of my finished makeup, using this foundation. I’m not wearing concealer in either one but I did build the foundation up to get full coverage.
These pictures were taken around the six hour mark. You can see that it has sunk into my smile line, oils have broken through in my T-zone and it’s broken up on my chin and around where I wear glasses. It doesn’t look horrible but it also doesn’t look great.
Final Thoughts:
I like this foundation but I’m not obsessed with it. It’s one that I would wear out to run errands but not one that I would use for a very full day or a night out. I do plan to use it up but I doubt I’ll repurchase because I’d prefer to buy my favorite, the J. Cat Beauty Skinsurance. Let me know what other foundation I should try! Thanks for reading and have a great day!
