Lip products might be my favorite aspect of makeup. I buy way too many and there’s not many colors that I just don’t like. The stereotypical fall tones might be my favorite, however. I love deep, rich shades and cooler tones so that’s primarily what I have to share with you today. Let’s get into all the reviews!
Dose of Colors Matte Liquid Lipsticks
I’ve talked about the Dose of Colors Matte Liquid Lipstick formula many times but I’ll briefly review it again. These lipsticks are $18.00 apiece but I always buy them when they go on sale for 50% off. They are one of the most comfortable matte lipsticks I’ve ever worn. They don’t dry completely, which is why they’re so comfortable. They do transfer slightly but most of them fade on the lips gracefully and don’t come off in chunks. They have a doe foot applicator and are relatively easy to apply; I do wish the applicator was less fuzzy to make precise application even easier.

My three newest shades are Cork, Desert Suede and Chocolate Wasted. Cork is a warm golden brown, Desert Suede is a greige taupe and Chocolate Wasted is a dark brown. I love all three of these so much. The only one I have a slight issue with is Chocolate Wasted. It’s so dark that it’s quite noticeable when it starts to wear off the lips and it just doesn’t fade as gracefully as the others. Other than that, these are great lipsticks and perfect for fall.
NYX Lip Lingerie Push-Up Lipsticks
NYX recently released a new lipstick formula called the Lingerie Push-Up Long-Lasting Lipstick. These are $9.00 apiece, “affordable” brands are getting pricey… Anyways, this might just be my all time favorite formula of lipstick. They are in the shape of a pencil and can be sharpened. This is my favorite form of lipstick because it makes application so easy. They are completely matte but very comfortable. They wear off the lips similarly to the Dose of Colors formula and they’re unbelievably easy to reapply. They don’t get cakey and can be built up or sheered out for a more blotted look. This is just a fantastic lipstick formula.

I have the shades French Maid and Seduction. French Maid is a muted mauve and Seduction is a reddish brown nude. Both of these are beautiful shades and I highly recommend them.
The NYX Suede Matte Lipsticks are another formula that I’ve reviewed before and loved. They are $8.00 apiece and are a comfortable matte formula that leaves a suede feeling finish on the lips, hence the name. They are not the longest lasting and will need to be reapplied after eating, drinking, etc. They’re not the absolute best formula in the world but they’re really good.

I have the shades Soft Spoken, Violet Smoke, Subversive Socialite and Vintage. Soft Spoken is an ashy rose, Violet Smoke is a pastel grey purple, Subversive Socialite is a deep purple with pink undertones and Vintage is a deep wine. I love all four of these shades and I recommend them if you don’t mind having to reapply them more often.
Final Thoughts
That is all of my newest lipsticks! These are the ones that I’ve been reaching for the most and I think most people would be happy with any of these formulas. I’d love to know if you’ve tried any of these or what your favorite lip products for fall are! Thanks for reading and have a great day!
