March has been something, huh? This month has been so hard for the entire world. It’s amazing how quickly life has changed and how we’ve had to adapt. I hope that my blog can help to get your mind off things during this time. I know many people feel that reviews and posts like that are wrong right now but I respectfully disagree. I believe we all need distractions and normality. I understand that there is a high number of people facing income loss and I’m going to focus on creating posts with that in mind. However, there will still be makeup reviews. I had bought and was testing things long before this happened. I’m not going to just not talk about or use what I had already planned to review. There’s also people that are still buying makeup and want to see those reviews. As always, though, there will be much more on my blog than just makeup reviews and I hope you can find something that appeals to you. With all of that out of the way, let’s talk about what I have planned for April.
Books:
My first book review in April will be for Six of Crows by Leigh Bardugo. I’ll go ahead and tell you now, I gave this book one star. It has been my most disappointing read, so far, of 2020. As for the rest of the month, I have no idea what I want to review. I have so many books to choose from that it’s actually making it more difficult to pick what I want to read. That’s a good problem to have, though. I guess we’ll just see what I end up choosing throughout the month. I am currently doing a group read of the Twilight series by Stephenie Meyer with my friend, Book Happy. It’s a very casual, read at your own pace kind of thing and anybody is free to join us. You can follow my updates on Goodreads or discuss it with us on Twitter and Instagram.
Makeup & Skincare:
I have so many makeup related posts and reviews that I want to do but I’m not sure what I’ll actually get to this month. I’m testing out quite a few things from J. Cat Beauty and Profusion. I bought two of Profusion’s newest palettes, Nude Bliss and Neon. I also have J. Cat Beauty’s new foundation and various other things that aren’t pictured above on the way to me. Just in case you were curious, the no/low buy is not going well, lol. I did recently do a pretty large declutter so I’m not out of space but it’s getting tight. Anyways, you can see all of these products in action and let me know what you want to see reviewed first over on my Instagram.
Video Games:
I decided to postpone my video game review in March because I wanted to get a review up for the Lorac Pro 1 Palette while it was on sale at Ulta. Since I did that, I’m going to have two reviews in April. The first review will be for Mystery Legends: Beauty & The Beast. It will be up this Friday. The second review will be for Dark Parables: The Thief and the Tinderbox. It will be up on the last Friday of the month. As I said above, I’m going to really focus on content other than just makeup reviews. Since I do include makeup looks in my video game reviews, I feel like it’s still fun makeup related content that isn’t solely focused on purchasing new things.
Thank you!
I’m currently at 668 followers on here and I just can’t believe how close I am to 1,000. If you’d like, you can follow my Instagram, Twitter, Facebook, Goodreads and Pinterest. I hope that things start to look up for everyone in April because March has been exhausting. I’m not totally confident that that will be the case but it’s what I’m praying for. Thanks for reading and have a great day!
