August Wrap Up!

337735-Snoopy-Camping-Goodbye-August

August has been a busy but fun month. My son turned one and we celebrated with a Mickey Mouse party that was everything I wanted and more for him. My birthday was also this month and I turned 29. Along with birthday celebrations, I’ve been working on a TON of home improvement projects that I have procrastinated doing for literally years. You may have noticed that I skipped a few uploads and these projects are why. I just simply don’t have time for everything. My upload schedule may also be spotty in the coming month because I want to get the bulk of these projects done before the holidays. That being said, let’s talk about what I hope to do on the blog in September!

📚Books:

44

My last book review was for Heartbreak Creek by Kaki Warner; the first book of a Western historical fiction trilogy. I do hope to finish that trilogy this month but I decided to take a break from it with To Bleed a Crystal Bloom by Sarah A. Parker. This is a New Adult “Rapunzel” retelling and I am LOVING it so far. I don’t know what it is with me and the “Rapunzel” retellings lately but I also just reviewed Bitter Greens by Kate Forsyth. That book was one of the best I’ve read in 2021 so I hope To Bleed a Crystal Bloom is as well. That’s my reading plans for the coming month but of course, they could always change.

💄Makeup & Skincare:

I’ve put myself on a temporary makeup no buy until I get caught up on reviews. I have a ridiculous amount of stuff to test out and I haven’t had the time to use 75% of it. What you see pictured above isn’t even a fraction of what I’m going to try to review over the next few months. I can say for sure, though, that there will be a review for the Undone Beauty Curator Eye Palette in Soft coming soon. Other than that, I have no idea but the best way to see what I’m trying is by following my Instagram.

🏡Lifestyle & Bonus Posts:

My next Modern+Chic review is going to be for the Aria Convertible Backback. This has been my most used bag for months and I can’t wait to share it with all of you.

💕Thank you!

Thank you so much for all of your support! I don’t make much money from blogging but I was able to receive my first payment from WordPress this month. Without your views, that wouldn’t have been possible and I so appreciate it. I hope you all had a wonderful August and that September is even better. If you’d like you can follow me on InstagramTwitterFacebook or Goodreads. Thanks for reading!
