Sweat & Crease Proof Makeup!

At the end of April, I went to a concert here in Alabama called the Auburn Rodeo. This is an outdoor event with multiple country singers. While April is definitely not the hottest month in Alabama, it’s still pretty warm. I tried out a TON of different makeup combinations leading up to the concert because I needed my makeup to last from 6 AM to around midnight and in the heat. Everything I’m going to recommend in this post not only wore well that day, but has also worn well every time I’ve worn it since then; even in the rising May temperatures. I have reviewed most of these products if you would like to learn more about them. Let me show you the look now!

If you follow me on Instagram, you’ll know that this look has been my go-to. Not only does it last but it’s also easy and fairly fast to do. Let’s talk about the most important part of the look first, the base.

1

Finding the right combination of base products was the absolute MOST difficult part of this process. It was not only important that my base hold up through heat and sweat but that it also crease as little as possible and be full coverage. I have smile lines and lines between my brows but this combination of products barely creased. I also have combination skin that gets oily in the T-zone and these products were able to hold up beautifully.

Next up is cheek products and setting sprays. These were easy to choose because they’re some of my favorites.

My eye makeup was also pretty easy to choose. The most reliable eyeshadow formulas in my collection are from Undone Beauty and Lorac so if I’m going out, odds are I’m wearing something from them.

  • Urban Decay Primer Potion– I don’t think this primer is any better than most others, it’s just what I had open at the time. I always set my primer with a cream colored eyeshadow or powder regardless.
  • Undone Beauty Curator Eye Palette in Bare– If my whole eyeshadow collection disappeared, I’d buy this palette first. It’s the perfect neutral palette and so easy to use. For this look, I applied the second to last bronze brown shade all over my lid and blended it up into my crease. I also smudged the last black shade on my lower lash line. I used the highlighter mentioned above in my inner corner but there are great inner corner shades here, as well.
  • Colourpop Super Shock Shadow in Cheap Date– I wanted a little something extra so I applied this shadow on the innermost part of my lid.
  • Covergirl Flourish Mascara– This mascara is great but if you need something waterproof, I recommend the Covergirl Waterproof Full Lash Bloom.

Last but not least is lips and brows. I couldn’t decide if I wanted a long lasting lipstick or more comfortable gloss. I ended up deciding to go with a pigmented gloss for the comfort and ease of reapplication.

Final Thoughts:

These products, primarily the base choices, will be my main go tos this summer. I haven’t been able to find anything else that works as well. However, I would love to know what your top choices are for makeup that lasts! Thanks for reading and have a great day!
