Over the past year or so, Makeup Revolution has transformed from one of my most disliked brands into one of my favorites. Their eyeshadow palettes in the tin packaging are just so good and I’ve been equally impressed by most of the other things I’ve tried. I decided to pick up some of their hyped cream products and a couple of other things. Let’s talk about the Blush Bomb first!
The Blush Bomb is $8.00 and I have the shade Dolly Rose, a light peachy pink. This is a liquid formula that has a doe foot applicator. It claims to be lightweight and dewy, which I agree with.

I really like this blush, even more than I expected to. I’ve never been a huge fan of liquid blushes but this one is so easy to use. It is quite pigmented so I dabbed a bit on the back of my hand and then used a cream blush brush to apply it. It blends and builds up easily. I also had no issues with it removing my foundation. The only slight con is it doesn’t fully dry down throughout the day but I wouldn’t say that it’s sticky. If you’re looking for a liquid blush, this is a good option.
The Ultra Cream Bronzer is $8.00 and I have the shade Light. I’m not sure exactly how to describe this shade. It’s not overly warm and it’s definitely not orange. It does have a bit of a yellow and red tone to it, especially when blended. I think this would best suit people that have a light skin tone with a yellow undertone. I don’t feel that it’s super noticeable on me but it does add a hint of warmth; I’m wearing it in the picture above. I like the color but I don’t love the formula. It’s a very thick cream and it’s easy to leave spots of it unblended. I overall just prefer a powder bronzer BUT if you’re looking for a cream option, this one isn’t bad.
The Sheer Lip is $4.00 and I have the shade Ballerina, a mauvy pink. This is a pigmented lip gloss. It’s not sticky but it is slightly tacky, which helps it hang around on the lips for quite awhile. Overall, it’s a pretty basic formula but good for what it is. I think Makeup Revolution is discontinuing this line but if you’re shopping and need to hit that free shipping threshold, grab one of these.
The Forever Dynamic Allure Eyeshadow Palette is $9.00 and is the mini version of the Forever Flawless Allure Eyeshadow Palette. I got this on sale for around $4.00 and it’s well worth that price. I wouldn’t pay much more than that, though, because you could get the larger version for just a bit more money. The formula is good, the same as the other tin packaged palettes, so blendable and buildable. The mattes were beautiful but I do wish the deep purple shade, Nymph, was a bit more pigmented. If you really wanted a deep, smoky look with this palette, you would have to pull in shadows from elsewhere. The shadows within this palette are ones from the larger version so if you have that one, you don’t need this one. Here are the shade names and descriptions:
- Hedonsim– matte cream
- Nymph– matte muted purple
- Sinner– metallic pale pink with white reflects
- Suave– matte orange toned rose
- Fever– metallic mauve
- J’Adore– matte muted burnt orange
- Lovesick– metallic burgundy
- Love– matte taupe
I created two looks using this palette. I had no issues with any of the shadows but for the first look, I used the Colourpop Super Shock Shadow in I Heart This in my inner corner and in the second look, I used the L.A. Girl Neon Liner in Blackout and a random black shadow on my lower lash line.
- I set my base with Hedonism.
- I blended Suave into my crease.
- I applied Fever on my lid.
- I applied Sinner on top of Fever on the innermost part of my lid.
- I set my base with Hedonism.
- I blended Love above my crease.
- I blended J’Adore into the inner half of my crease.
- I blended Nymph into the outer half of my crease. I also smudged it underneath the black on my lower lash line.
- I applied Lovesick on my lid.
- I applied Sinner in my inner corner.
If you’re into this color story and want a condensed version, this mini palette is a great option. I could see myself decluttering it eventually, though, but only because I enjoy it so much that I might buy the larger version.
Final Thoughts:
I would love to know if you’ve tried any of these products and what you think I should try from Makeup Revolution next. Thanks for reading and have a great day!
