Essence is one of my favorite brands because somehow they manage to release pretty products, that work well, and are so affordable. When I saw their In The Bloom’Light Collection, I couldn’t help but grab most of it. Let’s talk about the blushlighter first!
The In The Bloom’Light Blushlighter, called Made of Stardust, is $6.00. It has an ombre pan that goes from a rose to a peach. It also has a gorgeous rose imprint and is packaged in essence’s typical plastic packaging.
I typically don’t like blushlighters because I’m not a fan of glowy blushes but I love this one. In the picture on the left, I’m wearing both shades mixed together on top of a matte blush and I’m wearing the peach shade as a highlighter. In the picture on the right, I’m wearing the rose shade as a blush and the peach shade as a highlighter. This is a glowy, baked formula but once applied on the cheeks with a blush brush, just a small amount of glow is left behind. With a smaller highlighter brush, however, you can really get an intense glow. I like how versatile this is and really recommend it.
I bought all three of the lip products. The In The Bloom’Light Matte Lip Liner, called Live in Full Bloom, is $3.00. The In The Bloom’Light Satin Lipstick, called Kisses at Midnight, is $5.00. The In The Bloom’Light Shiny Lip Gloss, called Moonlight Glow, is also $5.00. The lip liner is a twist up style, the lipstick is a bullet with a beautiful embossing and the gloss has a standard doe foot applicator.
Of the three, I ended up liking the lip liner and gloss the most. The lipstick is beautiful and I love the satin formula but I wanted a deep berry color and on me, it pulls very red. The lip liner is a rosy pink and the gloss is basically clear. In the picture on the left, I’m wearing the lip liner all over my lips topped with the gloss. In the picture on the right, I’m wearing the lipstick topped with the gloss. I don’t feel that the lip liner and lipstick go together and I will always use them separately. All three lip products are really good, though, and perfect for this time of year.
