The February Wrap Up! (Spoiler Alert: It Sucked)

Well here we are at the end of the second month of 2017. I said at the end of last month that February was either going to be really good or really crappy. Well it was really crappy. At the very beginning of the month I had an Intrauterine Insemination, IUI, procedure. This was to hopefully help me conceive and it didn’t work. I knew there was a good chance that it wouldn’t work but we, my husband and myself, believed the odds were much higher than they actually were. Basically, our doctor really dropped the ball and should not have did the procedure. There’s some other issues with thyroids and vitamin levels that more than likely affected the IUI and should have been fixed before our doctor ever let us do the procedure. So now we have to wait THREE months and in that time (hopefully) get everything where it should be. I spent the first half of the month waiting to see if I was pregnant and then the other half depressed, but hey, you have to go on with life.

My goal was to exercise more this month than the eight times I did last month. That didn’t happen. Even though I know that working out helps with depression I still can’t make myself do it most of the time. I only worked out four times, possibly five if I do it tomorrow. The good thing is even though I just started working out again this past week I’m trying harder and doing better than before. I’ve also got my diet back on track. It’s crazy how much power our emotions have over every part of our lives.

This next month I’m going to focus on me. I don’t mean that in a selfish way but in a self care way. I’m not going to worry about getting pregnant. Of course, we’ll still be “trying” but I’m done stressing about it. It is what it is. I’m determined to work harder on weight loss. Not that I think I’m fat, I am overweight, but I mean, I do think I’m pretty. However, I know that for my health I need to shed some pounds.

I hope March is much kinder to me than February. I’m looking forward to the start of spring and we have a small weekend trip to Atlanta, Georgia planned soon that I’m super excited about. We’re going to Atlanta so my athletic husband can do a Spartan Sprint, which is like an obstacle course type event.  I also have quite a few home improvement projects planned and can’t wait to plant some flowers. That’s basically it. This coming month is going to be a fun and relaxing (I hope) start to spring. Let me know what your plans for March are! Thank you for reading and have a great day!
