e.l.f. Sculpting Silk Eyeshadow Trio Review

I feel like e.l.f. Cosmetics is releasing new eyeshadows every other day. I only have so much space, and need, for more eyeshadows so I’m being pretty choosy about which ones I buy. However, when I saw their new Sculpting Silk Eyeshadow Trio in Rose’ All Day I had to have it. These new trios are $4.00 apiece and there is five different color sets to choose from. Each set comes with two matte shades and one shimmer.

The main reason I wanted this set was for the matte purple-burgundy shade. I was not disappointed. All three eyeshadows are super pigmented and creamy. I noticed very little fallout when applied; this is a huge improvement for e.l.f. shadows. My only complaint with this specific trio is I can’t really get a full eye look from it. I used the golden shimmer on my eyelid and the matte purple-burgundy in my crease but the matte peach color was just too dark for my skin tone to be used on the browbone. If you’re darker than me, though, this won’t be a problem for you.

Old e.l.f. eyeshadows would typically be unpigmented, dry and crumbly but they seem to really be stepping up their game. I highly recommend this trio and like I said, they are releasing new ones constantly so definitely go check out their website. Let me know if you’ve tried any new products from e.l.f. lately! Thank you for reading and have a great day!

Update

I loved this trio so much that I decided to go buy another, Smoke Showstopper. I like it but not as much as Rose’ All Day. The shades are pretty but they’re just not as pigmented or creamy. However, the black shade is a very good, deep black. I do recommend this one just not as much as Rose’ All Day.
