If you haven’t heard of it, Mario Badescu is a skincare brand that has mid range pricing. They are cruelty free and tend to use more natural ingredients. I bought all of mine on the Ulta website. The three travel size products were part of a gift set that’s no longer available so I’ll be linking to the full size products.
Facial Spray with Aloe, Herbs and Rosewater
You can buy this spray in two different sizes for different prices. The 4 ounce is $7.00 and the 8 ounce is $12.00, so it comes out cheaper in the long run to buy the bigger bottle. I’ve already went through a 4 ounce bottle and just bought the 8 ounce. I love this stuff. I use this on my bare skin as just a soothing and refreshing mist and I use it over my makeup to help all the products melt together. This does smell like roses but it’s not overly scented. Out of all the products I tried, I recommend this the most.
Facial Spray with Aloe, Cucumber and Green Tea
This is available in the same sizes and at the same prices as the rose spray. It works just as well. I just didn’t care for the scent of this one as much as the rose one. It isn’t strongly scented but it does smell like cucumbers which isn’t something I love.
The Enzyme Cleansing Gel is available in two sizes and prices. You can get 8 ounces for $14.00 or 16 ounces for $24.00. I did NOT like this stuff at all. It did a terrible job at removing makeup and I don’t even wear waterproof eyeliner or anything like that. This burned my eyes very badly when I accidentally got it in them. I also didn’t like the way it smells, but of course, that’s just personal preference.
The Botanical Exfoliating Scrub is $26.00 for 3.4 ounces and I can tell you right now it’s not worth that. This is a very gentle scrub which is great for sensitive skin but it’s too gentle. I don’t feel like this had any positive impact on my skin whatsoever. There’s no way I’d buy this when there’s cheaper options from brands like Petal Fresh and Tree Hut that work better.
Overall, I’m really not that impressed with Mario Badescu. The facial sprays seem to really be the stand out products. Other than that, I’ll probably just stick to my reliable Burt’s Bees and Feeling Beautiful facial care. Have you tried anything from Mario Badescu? What did you think? Thanks for reading and have a great day!
I’ll need to try these products, I reviewed 10 other Mario Badescu products but these look fab! X
