Deodorant isn’t the most fun or exciting thing to try out but it is important. Every so often it’s like my body chemistry changes and I feel like my current deodorant just isn’t quite doing its job as well as before. This happened recently so I decided to try out the Schmidt’s Rose + Vanilla Natural Deodorant. This deodorant is $8.99 on the brands website but I only paid around $5.00 at WalMart.

Schmidt’s is a cruelty free and more natural brand. This deodorant is free of aluminum, propylene glycol, parabens and phthalates. It’s available in a few different scents but this one was my favorite. It has a very light rose scent with a hint of vanilla. The texture of the actual deodorant is a solid and it can be a bit crumbly. It applies best if you let it warm against your skin and then gently apply it. I did not notice any irritation while using this and I have been irritated by other deodorants in the past. This controlled body odor very well, I could even still smell the rose scent faintly throughout the day. Just to be cautious, I do reapply this if I have really been sweating. This is just a deodorant, not an antiperspirant, so it won’t help keep you dry.
