I hate the month of June… and July… and August. Why you may ask? To put it simply, we’re roasting alive here in Alabama and I’m over it. Now that June is over, we’re another month closer to the -ber months, my favorites. However, even though I hate the summer months, I still have a lot I want to review for all of you so let’s talk about what’s coming in July!
Books
My first book review in July will be for Reviving the Commander by Nadine C. Keels. This book hasn’t released yet and the author did send it to me for review. I have reviewed one of her other books, Eubeltic Descent, and I really liked it so I’m sure this one will be just as good.
My second book review of the month will tie into a collab I’m doing with some of my blogging friends. The collab will be on the second Monday in July and I will be doing a makeup look based on the cover of Bellman & Black by Diane Setterfield. I will also be reviewing the book Wednesday after the collab. I reviewed Bellman & Black years ago but that review was awful so I decided to delete it and redo it.
As for the rest of the month, I really have no idea and it will just depend on what I’m in the mood to read.
Makeup & Skincare
My first post of the month will be my nighttime skincare routine; here’s my morning routine. I’ve been really getting into skincare and right now I’m trying out a lot that’s for the body and not just the face. Those reviews will be up in a few months. I also have so much makeup to review. As of right now, I’m not for sure what will be reviewed in July because I have enough for August as well. I’m trying out products from Morphe, Profusion, Flower Beauty, essence, NYX, Makeup Revolution and a few other brands. You can follow me on Instagram to see what I’m using and let me know what you would like to see reviewed first.
I wanted to throw a sneak peek in here, the two pictures above, of something I’m working on for the new The Lion King movie that will be releasing on July 19th so keep an eye out for that (:
Also, for the time being, I will no longer be supporting Juvia’s Place. I didn’t want to make a whole blog post addressing this issue so I will mention it here. The owner of Juvia’s Place, Chichi Eburu, went on a Twitter rant toward a beauty influencer. The tweets were filled with unprofessional and vile language. I love Juvia’s Place and their palettes make up the bulk of my collection but there are other brands I can support. I will still use my palettes but will not purchase anything else from the brand.
Video Games
This month I reviewed the sixth game in the Dark Parables series, Jack and the Sky Kingdom. For July, I will be reviewing the seventh and my FAVORITE game of the series, Ballad of Rapunzel. I’m really excited to play this one again and create a makeup look inspired by it.
Thank you!
As always, thank you for all the love and support on here this month! If you’d like, you can follow me on Instagram and Twitter. I hope you all had a great June and that your July will be even better. Thanks for reading and have a great day!
