Goodbye blistering hot July! We are finally moving into August, the last month that I consider to be summer, and I am READY. I’m a Leo and my birthday is in the first week of August so it’s obviously my favorite summer month, lol. I didn’t totally hate this month, however, because my wonderful husband’s birthday was a few weeks ago and The Lion King 2019 remake was released. I had been looking forward to that movie for so long and while I was disappointed with it, I’m still glad I saw it. Books

The books pictured above are just a few that I’ve purchased recently. I’m currently reading A Light on the Hill by Connilyn Cossette and I am loving it! It’s book one of a four book, Christian, historical fiction series and will be my first book review in August. I’ll more than likely review the rest of the series next month as well. I’ll of course get to the rest of the books throughout September. Let me know if there’s a particular one that you’re interested in seeing reviewed first.

Makeup & Skincare

I have quite a few new products, makeup and skincare, that I’m currently testing out; pictured above are my newest eyeshadow palettes. I know for sure that my review for the Morphe 35H Hot Spot Eyeshadow Palette, the one in the middle, will be up in a few weeks. As for the smaller palettes, I might be able to review one of those in August as well, but I’m not sure. Let me know if there is a particular one that you are interested in seeing reviewed first. I will be buying some new makeup and skincare for my birthday but I’m not planning to purchase too much. I just did a pretty large declutter for my entire collection and I’m really focusing on just buying unique products or products that fill a gap in my collection. I’m working on different post ideas than don’t revolve around buying new things and I would love to get your feedback on what kind of posts you’d like to see from me!

Video Games

My July video game review and makeup look was for the seventh game in the Dark Parables series, Ballad of Rapunzel. The eighth game in the series is The Little Mermaid and the Purple Tide. I think doing a mermaid inspired look in August will be perfect for the end of summer and I’m really excited to create it! I’m glad that some of you are enjoying these game reviews and the makeup looks inspired by them because I’m having so much fun doing them.
