I was nominated for the Good Reading Habits Tag by Melissa at Castles and Hurricanes. I thought this would be a fun bonus post for what has been a stressful week. For the tag, you’re supposed to discuss what your good reading habits are. However, I’ve decided to change it up and respond to Melissa’s habits. I will let you know if I have the same good habits or not and why. This is the first tag I’ve did on my blog and it was created by Ally Writes Things. Let’s discuss all my good, or not so good, reading habits!
- Multitasking:
Multitasking is not my forte. Occasionally, I will read two books at one time but that’s rare. I need to fully focus on each book to get the most out of it.
- Reading a Variety:
I read books in almost every genre. I do have my favorites, primarily: fantasy, historical fiction, young adult, romance and new adult. Those genres often mesh together. I have started branching out into Sci-fi and I’m almost always willing to give any book a try.
- Keeping Track of the Books I’ve Read:
This is definitely a good habit of mine because if I’ve read it, I’ve reviewed it. Some of my reviews don’t make it to my blog but they’re all on my Goodreads.
- Using the Library:
I currently don’t use the library but I think it’s a fantastic resource. I’ve been considering getting a library card because I buy MANY books. However, I rarely pay full price for books and prefer to buy secondhand from thrift shops or sites like Thriftbooks.
- Bookmarks:
I love bookmarks and use them every time I read. If you dog ear books, stay away from me. I don’t need that kind of chaotic energy in my life, lol.
Final Thoughts:
I’m not going to tag anybody because I want everyone that’s interested to do it. Feel free to do the original tag or whatever variation you want but if you do, let me know so I can read it. You can also let me know your answers down below! Thanks for reading and have a great day!
This is a cool take on the tag! That’s awesome that you review every book-while I keep track of the books I’ve read, I normally don’t review them. I actually just heard about Thriftbooks the other day, I’ll definitely be checking them out soon! I love finding discounted books. And yay, I have the same view on dog-earring pages-I hate when people do it haha.
