I’m quite ready to see September go. My husband and I both got sick, and still are sick, with Covid. Thankfully, it hasn’t affected us as severely as it has so many people. I basically feel like I have a bad sinus infection or a cold. I’m sneezing, sniffling and have no energy. So while it’s not fun, especially while caring for an eight week old, it’s manageable. This sickness has just put a delay on SO many things I wanted to do in September, on my blog and in real life. I’m not doing as many fall related posts in October as I would typically do because I got very behind in September. I have quite a few posts ready to go (other than being actually written) and I’ll be getting them up in the coming month. Let’s talk about all of it!
Books:
The first book review of the month will be for A Kingdom of Flesh and Fire by Jennifer L. Armentrout, a New Adult fantasy. This is is the sequel to From Blood and Ash, one of my favorite books of 2020. I’m also planning to have reviews up for Open Country and Chasing the Sun by Kaki Warner. These are the last two books in a Western historical fiction trilogy. I have reviewed the first book, Pieces of Sky, and absolutely loved it. I would also like to review at least one spooky story this month but I’ll just have to see how the month goes.
Makeup & Skincare:
I have had a major lack of motivation to do my makeup. I’ve been very low on time and energy so it just hasn’t been happening. However, now that I’m starting to feel some better, I’m really wanting to get back into it. I know for sure that I’ll have reviews up for the J. Cat Beauty Dia Palette and a bunch of e.l.f. products. I’m also testing out the new Flower Beauty Gel Crush Lip & Cheek Stick, Too Faced Salted Caramel Palette and Too Faced Gingerbread Spice Palette. The best way to see what I’m trying out is by following my Instagram. Feel free to let me know what you’d like to see reviewed first.
Thank you!
