This year is finally almost over. Do I think that Covid and all of the other issues are going to disappear in 2021? No but hopefully we can all start to move forward and there’s something about the start of a new year that just brings hope. Like most people, this has been the weirdest, and scariest, year of my life. If you would have told me in December 2019 that I wouldn’t be able to see friends or family, not be able to find household cleaners and have to wear a mask everywhere, I wouldn’t have believed you. It’s been a year of changes but not all of them have been bad.
After five long years of infertility, my husband and I became parents through adoption. Our son is SO beautiful and perfect. He was definitely worth the wait and he made 2020 much more bearable. Along with adopting my son, my blog growth has also made the year better.
I honestly can’t even believe those numbers. In the grand scheme of social media, these stats aren’t that impressive but they’re higher than I ever expected them to be. All I want from my blog is for it to improve every year and so far, I’m on track. I appreciate all of you so much for reading what I post. Now, let’s talk about what I plan to do in January!
Books:
I have SO many new books, it’s unreal. I either bought or received quite a few around Christmas in addition to the unread ones that I already owned. I’m actually planning to go on a book no buy until I can catch up on what I have. In January, I’m going to show you all the books that I got for Christmas and review the Folk of the Air trilogy by Holly Black. I’m really enjoying the trilogy so far and can’t wait to talk about it!
Makeup & Skincare:
Like with books, I have so much new makeup that it’s honestly overwhelming😬 I honestly have no idea what order I’ll review things in but my first review in January will be for the XXRevolution Indulgence Cream Blush Palette. I’m also testing out new stuff from e.l.f., including their new Camo CC Cream, and quite a few things from Profusion Cosmetics. The best way to see what I’m testing out and let me know what you want to see reviewed is by following my Instagram.
Thank you!
