Reviews for New Milani Releases: Hydrating Skin Tint, Undereye Tint & Ludicrous Matte Lip Crayons

Milani is a brand that I like but they’re also really hit or miss for me. I was intrigued, however, when I saw their newest line of products. This line focuses on minimal coverage, easy application and good for the skin ingredients. If you follow my Instagram, you will know that’s been my makeup style for the past few months so I decided to pick up a couple of things; the Hydrating Skin Tint and the Undereye Tint. I also have some of their older Ludicrous Matte Lip Crayons that I’m going to talk about too. Unfortunately, I am very disappointed with the product I was the most excited for so let’s get into the reviews.

Glow Hydrating Skin Tint

The Glow Hydrating Skin Tint is $12.00 for 1 ounce of product. It claims to have sheer to light coverage with an ultra dewy finish. It contains squalene, electrolytes and coconut water; all help to prevent hydration loss and lock in moisture. It doesn’t contain any parabens or sulfates and is lightly coconut scented. It’s available in four shades and I have the lightest shade, Fair to Light.

I’m going to keep this really short and sweet, this skin tint is pure GARBAGE. I have tried it three times and it’s been horrible every time. It turns my skin into a greasy mess, creases horribly, offers no coverage, makes my waterproof mascara smear and makes my skin itch. It also really settled into my pores and I couldn’t apply any powder products on top of it or they would cake up. I tried this with and without moisturizer to see if it was my moisturizer making it so greasy but no, that’s just how the formula is. I have never recommended a product less than I do this one.

Upon initial application, everything looks pretty good. There is next to zero coverage but my skin looks healthy and has a slight glow.

Within an hour, however, things start to go south. It gets greasy, makes my mascara smear and creases horribly.

It’s rare that I throw products away but this stuff is so bad that I just can’t pass it on to somebody else. A much better alternative to this skin tint is the Soft Focus Complexion Enhancer, also from Milani. It doesn’t claim to offer coverage but somehow still provides more coverage than this one. It also actually blurs pores and gives a glow without being greasy. If you want a more matte look, I recommend the Australian Gold Tinted Moisturizer. I don’t think this Hydrating Skin Tint would work well for anybody and there’s much better alternatives available.

Brightening Undereye Tint

The Brightening Undereye Tint is $9.00 for 0.51 ounces of product. It claims to illuminate and color correct using micro-fine pearls. It contains hyaluronic acid, niacinamide and caffeine; great ingredients for the undereye area. It is free of sulfates, parabens and scent. It’s available in three shades and I have the lightest shade, Pink Rose.

Unlike the Glow Hydrating Skin Tint, I actually really like the Brightening Undereye Tint. I wouldn’t say that it color corrects because it’s not pigmented enough for that but it does do a great job of brightening the undereye area. It blends seamlessly with a finger and can be worn alone or under other products. I recommend it.

Ludicrous Matte Lip Crayons

The Ludicrous Matte Lip Crayons are $9.00 apiece. They claim to have a non-drying, matte formula that won’t feather or crack. They have a crayon tip applicater (my favorite) for easy application. There are currently fourteen shades available and I have So Obsessed and Lovesick.

So Obsessed is described as a cool brown but it pulls slightly red on me and Lovesick is described as a warm red-brown; a pretty brick red color. I love these lipsticks so much. They’re very similar in formula to my beloved NYX Lip Lingerie Push Ups. They’re comfortable, easy to apply and long lasting. They’re not completely transfer proof but that’s the price you pay for a comfortable matte lipstick. I highly recommend these.

Final Thoughts:

I’m so disappointed with the Glow Hydrating Skin Tint but at least the other products were good. Have you tried any of these or do you want to? Let me know! Thanks for reading and have a great day!
