Pacifica Glow Baby Super C Serum Review

Pacifica has become my go to skincare brand. I generally enjoy everything I try from them and I’m always curious when they release something new. When I saw their new Glow Baby Super Vitamin C Serum, I had to try it. I love their original Glow Baby Vitamin C Booster Serum and I was really interested to see how this new one would differ. The original Glow Baby Vitamin C Booster Serum is $16.00 for 1 fluid ounce of product verses the new Glow Baby Super Vitamin C Serum that is $20.00 for 0.8 fluid ounces of product. Since the new serum not only costs more but also contains less product, I definitely expected more out of it. Unfortunately, I haven’t loved it as much as I wanted to.

⭐️For reference, I have normal to oily skin with occasional hormonal acne and I use prescribed Clindamycin and Azelaic Acid daily.

The Glow Baby Super Vitamin C Serum contains a 20% concentration of vitamin C and a “Brightfirm Complex” that is made up of Kakadu Plum and Boswellia Extract. This serum claims to be lightweight and fast absorbing while helping to enhance skin brightness and decrease inflammation. The serum itself is a yellow color that can look brown and separated. As far as I understand, this is normal for vitamin C products. Like most of Pacifica’s serums, it’s packaged in a glass bottle with a dropper. It has a slight, fruity orange scent.

I don’t like this new serum as much as the original one. Not only does it cost more for less product but it also hasn’t did anything major for my skin in the two months that I’ve been using it regularly. Don’t get me wrong, I do think it’s helped my skin to look brighter and more even but if I can get that same look for cheaper using the original serum, I’m going to go with that option. This serum also slightly stings my skin where as the other one does not. This newer option may contain more vitamin C and technically be better but it’s simply not better for MY skin.

Final Thoughts:

If you have less sensitive skin than I do or you know this percentage of vitamin C works well for you, give it a try. It’s not a bad product and I’m sure it would work great for some people but it’s just not for me. I personally recommend the original Glow Baby Vitamin C Booster Serum over this one. Do you use vitamin C regularly? Let me know your favorite product! Thanks for reading and have a great day!
