I have a secret… I’m a bit of a Disney adult. I’m not as extreme as some but when it comes to the characters who are near and dear to my heart, I’m all about it. Snow White is one of those beloved characters so when Colourpop announced their collection revolving around her, I had to grab a few things. I didn’t want everything but I feel like I grabbed a few of the key items. I was going to review everything together but I have so much to say about the palette that I’ve decided to split the reviews. I will talk about the lipstick set and blushes on Friday. Let’s discuss this palette!
The Dreams Come True Eyeshadow Palette is $22.00. It contains twelve shades: one Super Shock Shadow, four true mattes, two mattes with glitter and five metallics. These eyeshadow pans are the larger 26mm size and they are magnetic so they can be swapped out. The packaging is heavy duty cardboard with a magnetic closure and no mirror. With the basic info out of the way, let’s talk pros and cons!
Pros:
- I love, love, love the theme and packaging. I think it is so beautiful and well done.
- The color story is pure Snow White. It’s not the easiest to work with, I’ll talk about that more below, but it’s recognizable as a Snow White palette.
- All of the mattes are pigmented and very easy to work with.
- All of the metallics are pigmented.
Cons:
- The one Super Shock Shadow, Ever After, is garbage. It’s truly the weakest shadow in the palette and the worst SSS I’ve ever tried. It has almost no pigment or shine.
- I typically don’t mind the matte with glitter formula because I use it as a regular matte and blend the shimmer away. However, the black, Faraway, has such BEAUTIFUL blue, gold and pink glitter in it and it makes me sad that none of it transfers on to the eye. The shimmer blends away with almost no effort. You might be able to pack it on to the lid but even then, I don’t think the shimmer would hang around. This shadow should have been a true metallic.
- There are no true shimmer shades in this palette and most of the metallics look more like satins. This can be useful because they can be used in the crease or wherever, but I wish there was at least one super sparkly shade.
- For my personal taste and skin tone, I don’t love the pinky coral shades. You’ll see them in the first look I created and there’s nothing technically wrong with them, they just don’t look great on me.
- This color story can be surprisingly difficult to work with. Some of the shades are really warm toned while others are cool toned and I found it difficult to create looks.
- I found that the metallics worked best with a finger and would create a TON of fallout if a brush was used.

Eyeshadow Looks:
I created three looks using this palette. I almost always use an eyeshadow primer and set it with powder or eyeshadow. I like all of the looks but I’m not in love with them, unfortunately.
- I set my primer with With a Smile.
- I blended Such Grace above my crease.
- I blended Someday into my crease.
- I deepened my crease with In the Land. I also smudged it on my lower lash line.
- I applied My Prince on my lid.
- I applied both Spell Breaker and Ever After in my inner corner.
- I applied Spell Breaker on my brow bone.
- I applied True Love on my water line.
- I smudged Faraway in with In the Land on my lower lash line to create a deep brown color.
- I set my primer with With a Smile.
- I blended Carried Away into my crease and smudged it on my lower lash line.

Final Thoughts:
The Dreams Come True Eyeshadow Palette is not a must buy. It’s honestly pretty lackluster BUT I still don’t regret buying it. I love the theme and I’ve figured out a way to make it work better for me. I’ve created a nine pan palette, pictured below, that I plan to use in conjunction with the Dreams Come True. I hope to have a post up in a couple of weeks talking about these single shadows and showing you the looks I created so keep an eye out for that. Also, check back Friday if you want to see my thoughts on the rest of this collection. Thanks for reading and have a great day!
The palette’s theme seems spot on . Colors look really nice and I really like your Smokey blue look !
