I have been looking for the perfect cruelty free and paraben free shampoo for quite some time. The main issues I keep having is they’re expensive and they usually don’t have sulfates. I’m aware that sulfates can be bad for your hair which is why to begin with I wanted a sulfate free shampoo, but I just can’t use them. They leave my hair so oily. Sulfates are chemicals that help to lift dirt and oil from your hair. Which means if your hair tends to be oily you may have a hard time using a sulfate free shampoo.

I recently bought the Renpure Originals Coconut Cream Shampoo and the conditioner. I got them at Wal-Mart for around $5.00 a piece. You can’t order them straight from the company but you can from Amazon, which I’ve linked to. Both the shampoo and conditioner is free of: sulfates, parabens, dyes, gluten, phthalates and propylene glycol. They are also cruelty free and smell absolutely wonderful. I wanted to love these so much but, as usual, the sulfates ruined it for me. The actual length of my hair and the ends looked great. It was so soft and smooth but my roots were an oily mess.

Unfortunately, I’ll be returning these to Wal-Mart and searching for something else. I’ve also been trying the gud by Burt’s Bees shampoo and conditioner and those do have sulfates.
