The July Wrap Up!

Life & Weight Loss Updates

I wouldn’t say that July was a terrible month, but neither was it all that good. We started off the month celebrating July Fourth, Independence Day. I love what the holiday means but it is my least favorite. I loathe being outside in the summer time, haha. We had a good one, though, with way too much food. Speaking of food, I actually ate pretty healthy most of the month but I wouldn’t say I was perfect. I worked out seven times and lost a pound. I’m not happy about that or unhappy about it. As long as the scale is going down I’m going to try and give myself a little grace.

We looked ridiculously patriotic.

Life Updates Continued

A few days after the Fourth of July we celebrated my husband’s birthday. He finally got the Go-Pro camera he’s been wanting so now we’ll get to video all of our hikes and trips which I’m really looking forward to. A few weeks after his birthday, however, the month took a sad turn. My Great Grandmother passed away at the age of 98. I was fortunate enough to have her throughout my growing up years. She was feisty, loved animals and loved being outside. When anyone dies there isn’t anything positive about it but she made it to 98 and passed peacefully in her home; honestly, what more could anybody ask for?

Titan sits every time I pull out my phone. He loves to pose for pictures, haha!

Movies and TV Series

I was over a month late but I finally reviewed season four of ReignI was not impressed, to say the least. Nothing else has really caught my eye on Netflix, at least nothing that I think anyone would care to see a review of. I’ve been re-watching American Horror Story: Murder House and when I’m finished with it I’m going to start the newest season of The Originals. If there is any movies or TV shows you would like to see a review of let me know!

They give me the dirtiest looks but that’s life with cats.

Books

I reviewed a few different books in July but my favorite was Come to Dust by Bracken Macleod. I’ve really been in a horror mood lately so I’m pretty sure my next review will be on IT by Stephen King. I usually wouldn’t review any of his because there is just so many reviews out there but I want to review the book and TV series before the new movie is released. I plan to do a blog post every day in October so I need any and all horror book suggestions you can give me!

That belly.

Makeup

I’ve been reviewing makeup left and right all month but I just have so much to review. NYX has been having huge sales all month so if I found something I wanted, I bought it. A fun fact for you is NYX usually always sends a $5.00 off coupon with each order. You can use these coupons on their sale stuff or when they have buy one get one free. This weekend they had a sale where if you bought one Liquid Suede Metallic Matte Lipstick you would get one Liquid Suede Cream Lipstick for free PLUS get free shipping (this sale is still going on, by the way). I had two $5.00 off coupons so I made two separate orders and ended up getting four lipsticks for around $5.00, regular price would have equaled out to $29.00. That is why I love NYX so much. I’ll be placing a pretty large e.l.f. order at the end of this week but I would love to know what you want to see reviewed! I still have a TON of NYX to get through but I’m always willing to look into other products.
