This book was sent to me for review purposes from Aria Fiction. All opinions are my own.
I was pretty excited when Aria Fiction sent me The Note by Zoe Folbigg to review for it’s blog tour. When I’m in the mood, I really enjoy a good love story and this book is just that. It’s based on the author’s true story which I find incredibly sweet and it just adds to the book. I will keep this review spoiler free and be sure to check the bottom for all the information about this book, the author and Aria Fiction.
*Typically I write my own synopsis, but I really like the way the book’s synopsis sums up the story without spoilers. Sometimes I get carried away and give too many details (:
The Synopsis
The note changed everything…
One very ordinary day, Maya Flowers sees a new commuter board her train to London, and suddenly the day isn’t ordinary at all. Maya knows immediately and irrevocably, that he is The One. But the beautiful man on the train always has his head in a book and never seems to notice Maya sitting just down the carriage from him every day. Eventually, though, inspired by a very wise friend, Maya plucks up the courage to give the stranger a note asking him out for a drink. Afterall, what’s the worst that can happen? And so begins a story of sliding doors, missed opportunities and finding happiness where you least expect it.
Based on the author’s true story, The Note is an uplifting, life-affirming reminder that taking a chance can change everything…
My Thoughts
This book is just a good girl meets guy kind of story. Well, more like girl semi stalks guy and then meets him, haha. This book is full of tension. You can’t help but feel for Maya. Will mystery man answer her note? Will he like her? Will they end up together? Since this is a spoiler free review I can’t answer those questions but I do recommend you read the book for yourself.
If you are a fan of light romance and a fairly lengthy one at that, I think you would enjoy this story. I love and hate spoiler free reviews. Hate, because I can’t say exactly what I enjoyed about the book but also, love, because you get to experience everything for yourself! I hope this review was helpful. Let me know if this book sounds interesting to you! Thanks for reading and have a great day!
