I feel like May has been about six months long. It’s not that the month has been bad, per se, it’s just drug on to me. We celebrated Mother’s Day this month and both James and my mom had a birthday this month. We’re very blessed to still have our wonderful moms and I’m glad we were able to celebrate them. As somebody dealing with infertility, however, May isn’t the most enjoyable and I’m glad that it’s over. Now we can get into summer!
I planted some flowers this month for the first time ever and they’re actually growing! I’m way more proud of these plants than I should be, lol. I still have a ridiculous amount of home improvement projects that need done but as always, I’m procrastinating. I know most of you don’t care about my home improvement projects, though, so let’s get into what’s coming up on the blog in June!
You’ll be seeing these two pretty palettes from Juvia’s Place in the next few week. My Saharan 2 palette has already arrived and I’ve been playing with it. I’m still waiting on the Douce palette but it should be here soon. I have fallen in love with this brand’s eyeshadows and can’t wait to try more from them! I also have A LOT of stuff from e.l.f. Cosmetics. I purchased quite a few things I’d been eyeing during their sale so those reviews will be scattered throughout the month. This month I’m also going to be trying out some waterproof, sweat proof and sun protecting products. I want to see what will hold up to those summer activities while staying on a budget!
As for books, I’m rereading the Flowers in the Attic series by V.C. Andrews. This series is a classic. I’ve read them but never reviewed them and that’s what I’m in the mood to read right now. I never push myself to read new releases or what’s trendy because that would take away the fun for me. Even though these books are old I do hope you’ll read and enjoy the reviews 🙂
That’s everything for May! As always, thank you so much for following me on here, Twitter and Instagram. I would love to hear your feedback! Let me know what your plans for June are and what reviews you’d like to see. I hope your May was great and that June will be even better. Thanks for reading!
