September is finally coming to an end and now we’re getting into my favorite three months of the year! It’s time for cooler weather and all the holidays. I hope September treated you kindly. It was a decent month for me but I’m ready to move on into October so let’s talk about what I have planned!
Makeup & Skincare
I’ve actually slowed down on how much makeup and skincare I’ve been buying. My skincare really hasn’t changed much since I started my new routine and I just have more makeup than I need as it is. I did recently buy the Juvia’s Place Festival Palette because it just screamed fall to me. I’ll have that review up in a few weeks (spoiler, it’s amazing). I also bought one thing I had been curious about during the Ulta 21 Days of Beauty Sale. I bought the Dose of Colors Matte Liquid Lipstick in the shade Mondaze. These lipsticks are regularly priced at $18.00 and I got it for $9.00 so in my review I’ll let you know if it’s worth that full price. I also have some Wet n Wild pigments, Besame lipsticks and other random odds and ends to review. I’m thinking about doing some tutorials as well. I think that would be a fun way to get more use out of the palettes I already have which is my goal for the next few months.
Books
As for book reviews, the first week of October will be the last book (for now) in the A Court of Thorns and Roses series by Sarah J. Maas, A Court of Frost and Starlight. The second week will be a review of four historical fiction/romance stories in one book, Wyoming, by Colleen Coble. As for the rest of the month, I’m really not sure. Since it is October, I’ll probably throw in a Stephen King book, more than likely Needful Things, and I’d like to find some other spooky stories. I’m just really not sure yet and it depends on what I feel like reading but I’m always open to suggestions.
Thank you!
Last October I blogged everyday of the month. It was a full month of reviews and DIY type stuff all revolving around fall and Halloween. I loved doing that but I won’t be doing it again this year. It’s just very time consuming and I’m wanting to not just focus on fall/Halloween during October. There will still be plenty of blog posts revolving around those things, however, because I love doing them and you can always go check out the posts I wrote last year.
Thank you so much to all of you who have followed me here, on Twitter and on Instagram! I love talking to you all so please feel free to comment on my posts or send me a message. That wraps it up for this month. I hope that your September was great and that October will be even better! Thanks for reading and have a great day!
Lovely post, I love that Juvia’s place palette, it looks so pretty!
