L.A Girl Pro Concealer in Color Correcting Peach & essence Loose Setting Powder in Peach Reviews

*As of writing this the essence Color Correcting Powder is not available ANYWHERE. I’m assuming they pulled it for some reason. I don’t know if it’s still available in Ulta stores or coming back so I’m still going to review it.

If you’re like me and have chronic dark circles that never go away then you’re always on the hunt for a good color corrector. I’ve been trying out two new ones, a powder and a cream.  I bought the essence Loose Setting Powder in Peach and the L.A. Girl Pro Concealer in Peach as well. I think I paid around $5.00 for the powder, I can’t remember for sure and since I can’t find it online there’s no way of knowing, and the concealer is $5.00. You get 6 grams/0.21 ounces of product in the powder and 8 grams/0.28 ounces of product in the concealer.

Peach color correctors are typically used for neutralizing blue/purple shadows on medium skin tones. Pink or yellow color correctors are usually recommended for my skin tone but I have found that a light peach or salmon color works better for me.

The essence Loose Setting Powder is honestly just not good, at least for me. It does not brighten my under eyes at all, in fact it darkens them. When I apply this powder it instantly adds shadow. Just by looking at the powder I would think it would be a perfect color for my skin tone but it’s just way too dark. I can somewhat make it work by using a solid white powder and mixing the two. Even if you can still find this anywhere I don’t recommend buying it.

I had much better luck with the L.A. Girl Pro Concealer. The formula is excellent. It blends easily, doesn’t crease more than usual, works well with all my other products and works nicely to cover dark circles. I wouldn’t say that my dark circles are erased with this but they are significantly improved with it. My only complaint is with the brush tip applicator. I usually don’t mind them but this one is very stiff. I’m still able to make it work, however. This formula and color is basically identical to my e.l.f. Color Neutralizing Pen in Light that I love. I could use either formula and be happy with the results. I highly recommend this concealer.

If you’ve been looking for a new color corrector I hope this review helped you out! I hate to include a product that I don’t think anybody can even get but it’s not worth getting regardless. Let me know what color corrector you love! Thanks for reading and have a great day!
