A lot of you seemed to enjoy my Halloween pictorials so I thought I would create a couple more for Thanksgiving! I’m going to follow the same layout of the Halloween post. I’ll explain what brushes I use, show you the primer I use and then show you step by step how I created each look. Let’s talk about brushes first!

Brushes

• Detail Crease Brush: This is my number one, must have brush. I have hooded eyes and this allows me to get deep into my crease for precise color placement.
• Tapered Blending Brush: This brush is slightly bigger than the Detail Crease Brush and I typically use it to place shadow right above my crease. I will also use it to place shadow in my crease if I don’t need to be very precise in my color placement. It’s great to blend with, as well.
• Flat Eyeshadow Brush: This brush is pretty self explanatory but it’s my favorite for eyeshadow. I also love this one from ShopMissA.
• Small Angled Brush: This is my favorite brush for applying eyeshadow to my lower lash line. I also love this one from ShopMissA.
• Smudge Brush: I use this brush when I want to apply shadow to my lower lash line in a thicker line than what I can get with the Small Angled Brush.
• Eye Crease Brush: I do not use this brush in my crease but instead I use it to apply my inner corner highlight.
• Blending Brush: I use this brush to apply my cream or white base shadow on top of my primer. I also use it to blend out the edges of my shadows.
• Eye Contour Brush: I use this brush to smudge out the edges of any shadow on my lower lash line when I don’t want a precise line.

Primer

The first step of any eyeshadow look I do is primer. I’ve been using the essence Colour Intensifying Eyeshadow Base for the past year. It’s super affordable at just $3.49. I love that it has a doe foot applicator for easy application and it’s a pink shade that helps to make shadows pop. I do always set my primer with a cream or white shade of eyeshadow. Some people do not set their primer but it’s much easier to blend shadows on top of it if you set it. I will not be mentioning primer down below but just know that it was used in each look.

The pictures below are in collage form and go in order from top to bottom and left to right. I will be linking to each palette that I used the first time it is mentioned. If I’ve reviewed it, I’ll link to my review and if not, I’ll link to where you can purchase it. However, you do NOT need these specific palettes. Just use what you have and create your own versions of these looks. I will describe the color of the shade and if it has a name in its palette, I’ll put that as well. Pictorial 1:

For this look, I used the Lorac Lux Diamond Palette. I have not reviewed this palette yet but I love it so far. This is one of my favorite types of looks to do because it’s simple but still visually interesting because of the different shades on the lid.

1. I first blended a matte, light brown/tan (Grand) above my natural crease. I did this to help create a gradient with the deeper shades.
2. I then took a matte, deeper chocolate brown with a hint of red (Luxury) and blended it right under the lighter shade and lightly into my crease.
3. I blended an even deeper, matte brown (Elite) into my crease and up into the lighter shades.
4. I then applied a satin red (Ruby) on the innermost and outermost parts of my lid. I left an opening in the center of my lid. I also took a small amount of this shade and blended it into my crease so that everything would look cohesive and blended.
5. In the center of my lid, I applied a brownish/golden shimmer (Extravagant) and then topped that with a golden shimmer (Ritzy). I wanted it to be a muted gold look but still pop with the shimmer.
6. I lined my lower lash line with the deepest, matte brown (Exclusive). I then used the deep brown from my crease (Elite) and smudged it under the lash line. After that, I wanted to add a touch of gold glitter so I smudged the brownish/golden shimmer (Extravagant) at the very bottom. When applying multiple shades on the lower lash line, be sure to smudge/blend them so that there won’t be any harsh lines.
7. I mixed together a light champagne shimmer (VIP) with a golden shimmer (Ritzy) and applied them in my inner corner.

Since I used a more expensive Lorac palette for the first look, I wanted to use an affordable palette for this look. I chose The Nubian Palette from Juvia’s Place. I do not currently support Juvia’s Place because the owner is unprofessional BUT their shadows are very affordable and great quality. I have reviewed this palette but the review is old and not great so I’m just linking to their website. I love the way this look turned out and will probably do something similar for my own Thanksgiving get together.

1. I blended a matte, light brown/tan above my natural crease. I did this to help create a gradient with the deeper shades.
2. I blended a matte, deep chocolate brown into my crease.
3. I then applied a chocolate shimmer with hints of red all over my lid. I wanted to intensify the red just a bit so I patted a muted, red shimmer all over my lid as well.
4. I lined my lower lash line with a matte, deep charcoal/brown. I then smudged the deep brown from my crease under my lash line. I brought the shades out a little farther so I could blend them together with the shades in my crease.
5. I used a deep, golden shimmer in my inner corner. Typically, the inner corner shade is something light and bright but every once in awhile I like to switch it up by using something deeper.

Final Thoughts
