I’ve been collecting odds and ends from NYX for many months but I just didn’t have enough stuff, until now, for a full haul style review. Some of these products are newer and some are older but they’re all really good. Let’s start with my favorite discovery, the Sweet Cheeks Blush!
-Sweet Cheeks Creamy Powder Blush
The Sweet Cheeks Creamy Powder Blushes are $7.50 apiece and available in a matte or shimmer finish. I own three shades in the matte finish: Bang Bang, Silence is Golden and Red Riot; they are in this order from top to bottom in the swatches above. The name of these blushes is completely accurate. They’re a powder formula but so creamy. The shades I have were a little intimidating to me at first but all three worked BEAUTIFULLY on my skin. They’re not overly pigmented but they’re very easy to blend out and build up. I think any skin tone could use them and be happy. Let’s look at the blushes on my face!
From left to right is Bang Bang, Silence is Golden and Red Riot. Bang Bang is a rosy shade with brown undertones. Silence is Golden is a gold shade (clearly). Red Riot is a deeper rose than Bang Bang but with no brown tones, more of a true red blush. I recommend any of these shades and the formula in general.
The Butter Glosses have always been one of my favorite formulas so I wanted to try out some of the newer shades. They’re $5.00 apiece and I have the shades Marshmallow, Cinnamon Roll and Orangesicle; they are in this order from top to bottom in the swatches above. I really like these glosses but I was slightly disappointed with them. They’re not as opaque as the Butter Glosses I’ve owned in the past and they no longer have the delicious vanilla scent. Other than those issues, they’re still the same non-sticky, great formula. Let’s look at them on my lips!
From left to right is Marshmallow, Cinnamon Roll and Orangesicle. Marshmallow is a muted lilac shade, Cinnamon Roll is a dusty mauve shade and Orangesicle is an orange shade. I think of the three, Orangesicle is my favorite because it’s the most vibrant but they’re all good glosses and I recommend them.
-Suede Matte, Lip Lingerie Push-Up & Shout Loud Satin Lipsticks
I decided to pick up a few lipsticks but two of these formulas I have reviewed before; the swatches above go in order from top to bottom. I bought two more of the Suede Matte Lipsticks in Cherry Skies and Munchies. They’re $8.00 apiece. These lipsticks have a soft matte formula that isn’t really long lasting but is very comfortable.
I bought one more of the Lip Lingerie Push-Up Lipsticks in Bedtime Flirt. They’re $9.00 apiece. This is my favorite lipstick formula because the pencil shape makes it easy to apply, it’s comfortable and very long lasting.
Last but not least, I bought one of the new Shout Loud Lipsticks in Cactus Dreams. These lipsticks are $8.50 apiece. I like this formula but I doubt I would buy more in it. It’s a satin lipstick so it’s very comfortable but it transfers like crazy. Let’s look at them on my lips!
Here are the Suede Matte Lipsticks in Cherry Skies and Munchies. Cherry Skies is described as being a deep berry but it pulls VERY bright red on me. Munchies is a soft gray and my favorite of the two. You can see all the other shades I own of this lipstick formula here and here.
Here is the Lip Lingerie Push-Up Lipstick in Bedtime Flirt. It’s a beautiful pinky nude shade and my current favorite nude lipstick. You can see all the other shades I own of this lipstick formula here and here.
Last but not least is the gorgeous Shout Loud Lipstick in Cactus Dreams, a spiced terracotta shade. This color is completely unique to my collection. I think it’s perfect for the summer and fall. I recommend this lipstick and all the others I mentioned.
-Slide On Lip Pencil & Suede Matte Lip Liners
I decided to try out some lip liners. I bought one of the Slide On Lip Pencils in Nude Suede Shoes and four of the Suede Matte Lip Liners in Munchies, Cold Brew, Cherry Skies and Vintage; they are in this order from top to bottom in the swatches above. The Slide On Lip Pencil was $8.00 and the Suede Matte Lip Liners were $4.00 apiece.
It’s hard to show lip liners on the actual lips but I am wearing almost all of these throughout the pictures above. The Slide On Lip Pencil has a fantastic creamy but long lasting formula. The shade I bought, Nude Suede Shoes, is a perfect pinky nude. This liner was my favorite of the five. I do like the Suede Matte Lip Liners but they’re not as pigmented and they’re more dry. I really had to tug them across the lips and that’s not something I enjoy. I do like that they perfectly match the Suede Matte Lipsticks I own, however. Munchies is a soft gray, Cold Brew is a reddish brown, Cherry Skies is a berry red and Vintage is a deep wine. I recommend any of these liners but I recommend the Slide On Lip Pencil the most.
Final Thoughts:
That is everything for this NYX haul! I hope I helped you out if you were looking for reviews for any of these products. Let me know what I should try from the brand next! Thanks for reading and have a great day!
