I bought all of the Makeup Revolution Game of Thrones Flawless Eyeshadow Palettes. I’ve reviewed the Three Eyed Raven and Winter is Coming palettes so today we’re finishing up with the fiery Mother of Dragons.
This palette, and the other two, were all originally $18.00. They are limited edition and have been on sale for months. The Mother of Dragons Palette is currently $12.60. It contains eighteen shades: twelve mattes and six metallics/shimmers. The packaging is made of tin, has a mirror and a firm clasp closure. I personally love the tin packaging, but some may not. With the basic info out of the way, let’s talk pros and cons!
Pros:
- As with the other two palettes, I love the Game of Thrones theme. Does the theme really matter? No but I’ve learned that if I enjoy the theme and packaging, I’m much more likely to reach for the product.
- I also love the color story, especially the deeper cool toned side of the palette.
- Bright reds and yellows are not colors I typically wear and as of right now, this is one of the only palettes I own with those shades. I don’t like to have duplicates in my collection so this palette fills that spot nicely.
- The mattes were all super easy to work with, even the deepest shades. I’ve realized I really love the Makeup Revolution matte formula.
- I loved all of the shimmers and metallics in this palette. Dragonfire, Iron Throne and Dragon Egg were my absolute favorites.
Cons:
- The shades Dothraki and Saddle and Khaleesi and Blood are way too similar. I would rather have had a couple more shimmer shades.
- For me personally, this palette is missing a light cool toned shimmer to go with the deep shades on the right side of the palette. This isn’t a big deal, though, and I just used a highlighter.
Swatches & Shade Descriptions:
These eyeshadows do have names but no shade descriptions so I will describe them to the best of my ability. I’ll be going from left to right, top row to bottom row. These photos were taken with flash to show off the sparkle.

Eyeshadow Looks:
I created three looks using this palette. I almost always use an eyeshadow primer and set it with powder. I love all of the looks and they were very easy to do.
- I set my primer with Essos.
- I blended House Blackfyre into my crease. I also smudged this shade on my lower lash line.
- I deepened my crease with Khal. I also applied it on the outermost part of my lid and smudged it on my lower lash line.
- I applied Warrior all over my lid.
- I applied Crow in my water line and along my upper lash line.
*I used the Makeup Revolution Lustre Highlighter in White Rose in my inner corner.
- I set my primer with Essos.
- I blended Dothraki and Saddle above my crease, along the brow bone.
- I blended Castle into my crease.
- I deepened my crease with Castle. I also applied it on my lower lash line.
- I deepened my crease even more with Khal and smudged it on my lower lash line.
- I applied Iron Throne over the majority of my lid.
- I applied Dragon Egg on the inner part of my lid and on the inner half of my lower lash line.
- I applied Dragonfire in my inner corner.
- I applied Crow on my water line.
- I set my primer with Essos.
- I blended Persistence in a half arch shape along my brow bone, closest to my nose. I also applied it on my water line.
- I then blended Rebellious into Persistence in a half arch shape, closest to the outer part of my brow.
- I blended Khaleesi underneath and into the two previous shades.
- I blended Blood into my crease and on my lower lash line.
- I deepened my crease with House Blackfyre. I also applied it on the outermost part of my lid and on my lower lash line.
- I applied Dragon in the center of my lid.
- I applied Queen on the innermost part of my lid.
- I applied Dragonfire in my inner corner.
- I smudged Crow on my lower lash line and applied it on my upper lash line, just along the outer matte shade.

Final Thoughts:
I love this palette even more than I expected to. Out of the three, the Three Eyed Raven is my favorite with this one coming in second. All three of these Game of Thrones Flawless Eyeshadow Palettes are WAY better than I expected them to be, though. If you like the color stories, I recommend getting them before they’re discontinued. Let me know what you think about this one! Thanks for reading and have a great day!
