My Makeup Favorites for Travel & Busy Mom Life!

I’m not the kind of woman that can travel light. I want to be able to pack a handful of products and be good to go but unfortunately, that’s just not how I live my life. I thought today I’d share the makeup I love to travel with and what I reach for when I’m busy on a day to day basis. I have reviewed most of these products and will link to them!

For the face, my number one go to is the erborian CC Red Correct. This is one of the priciest items in my collection but I fully think it’s worth it. The CC Red Correct doesn’t quite give me the coverage I usually want, though, so I follow that up with the J.Cat Beauty Staysurance Concealer. This concealer is full coverage and so easy to work with. Along with this concealer, I love to use the Milani Supercharged Brightening Undereye Tint. It’s very easy to blend and really brightens the under eye area. I follow the cream products up with a powder. I typically use the e.l.f. Cosmetics Halo Glow Powder in Medium because it adds a bit of color to my face. I also always have the essence 16hr Powder Foundation in my bag because it’s perfect for touch ups and fixing makeup mistakes. I’m not too picky about setting spray but I do tend to prefer a matte one. I’ve been really enjoying the ShopMissA Matte Setting Spray.

My Reviews:

For cheeks, my favorite blushes have been from the Blend Bunny Bare Cheeks Face Palette. I’m highly annoyed though, because as of writing this, this palette is sold out and being discontinued🙃 I really hope the brand brings this back because it’s so good but an alternative is any blush from essence; I especially love the The Blush line. My favorite highlighter is also from essence and it’s the Pure Nude Highlighter in Be My Highlight. It gives such a smooth, even glow.

My Reviews:

I’ll be honest, I don’t typically do a lot to my eyes when I’m travelling or busy. I either skip eyeshadow altogether or I do one shade on the lid, one in the inner corner and maybe one on my lower lash line. The Sydney Grace Love’s Journey Eyeshadow Palette is perfect for this. I love that it has warm, neutral and cool options. It is on the pricy side at $52.00 but the brand has sales fairly often; I got mine for around half off. I haven’t reviewed this yet but keep an eye out because that’s coming in the next few weeks. If I’m trying to save on space, I go for the ShopMissA Fly With Me Shimmer Shadows. These are just $1.55 apiece and I have the shades Firefly and Yes I Dew. If you prefer cream shadows, the ShopMissA Venetian Romance Creamy Eyeshadows are also excellent. For mascara, I really like the e.l.f. Cosmetics Lash Xtndr in Pitch Black. This mascara doesn’t give a ton of volume but it lengthens the lashes and doesn’t smear. Also from e.l.f., for brows, I like the Wow Brow Gel in Neutral Brown. It offers decent hold and is super easy to use.

My Reviews:

Last but not least is lips and I keep it simple. I ALWAYS have a lip balm with me and I’ve been loving the Soulsation Lip Balms. These come in a pack of eight different flavors and they’re organic. The pack only costs $10.00, $1.25 apiece, and they work so well. If I want a lipstick, I usually reach for the Flower Beauty Perfect Pout Moisturizing Lipsticks in either Blossom or Blush Rose. This isn’t a long wearing option but they’re comfortable and easy to reapply. What I use the absolute most, though, is the essence Lip Plumping Glosses. I have three of them and love them all.
