Hard Candy Pore-Defense Primer Serum Review

thumbnail (5).jpg

I have been desperate to find a pore reducing primer because I have massive pores along my cheeks and nose. NOTHING I’ve tried has really helped them. I was in WalMart just browsing when I decided to check out the Hard Candy section. I have hated everything I’ve tried from Hard Candy. I’ve reviewed their foundation, concealer, eyeshadow primer and a palette, all of which were awful. However, I’m always willing to try new things from a brand and I noticed they had a pore minimizing primer. The Pore-Defense Primer Serum is around $6.00, it’s more on the website. It contains 1.6 ounces and is oil/silicone free.

I absolutely LOVE this primer. This is the only one that I have ever noticed actually making a difference with my pores. It does kind of tingle when I put it on my skin but I haven’t had any irritation. I only use this on my cheeks because it makes the foundation on my nose break apart, but all primers do that to my nose. It is silicone free but it doesn’t dry down to that powdery feel like some silicone free primers do, the NYX Pore Filler for example. This doesn’t erase my pores but they are WAY less noticeable.

Hard Candy is a WalMart exclusive brand but if you can get this I highly recommend it. It works so well to be so inexpensive. I’m really glad that I didn’t just write off Hard Candy all together because of the crappy products that I tried. Does this sound like something you’d like to try? What do you like from Hard Candy? Let me know! Thanks for reading and have a great day!

FYI! The Hard Candy pore defense primer serum is currently available at select Dollar Tree locations for you guessed it.. a friggin dollar. Our local store has it in abundance and no, it hasn’t been repackaged before being dumped at the Buck Bush… Meanwhile its still $10-20 at the Wally and Ebay. We won’t go into what’s up over at Poshmark. Stock up!
