IT Cosmetics is a brand that I’ve been curious about for a very long time. I’ve recently been revamping my skincare routine and I wanted to try a foundation that also had skincare benefits. My first thought was the CC Cream from IT Cosmetics. After seeing many rave reviews I placed my order and included in that order were samples for the Confidence in an Eye Cream and the Bye Bye Under Eye Cream.

This CC Cream costs $38.00 for 1.08 fluid ounces of product. I bought mine in the lightest shade, Fair. There is seven shades available. This CC Cream has a ton of claims so I’m going to just copy and paste them right here so I don’t leave any out and my thoughts will be below.

My Thoughts
Unfortunately, I hate this CC Cream so much. I like the packaging, a tube with a pump. I like the scent, smells like lemons. I also think the shade match was pretty spot on for me, I have yellow undertones. Everything else about this was just terrible for my skin. My skin is combination that tends to be more dry with acne and scarring. I figured a CC Cream with so many good ingredients would be wonderful for me but it was the opposite. Here’s a bullet list of all the problems I had with this CC Cream:
- Clung to dry patches.
- Got super oily on my nose.
- Sunk into under eye bags.
- Did not work well with ANY of the products I used with it. I tried a pressed powder, a loose powder, no primer, two different water based primers, three different setting sprays and three different moisturizers underneath including a sample size of the IT Cosmetics Confidence in a Cream.
- Did nothing for my pores and did not color correct in any way.
- Would NOT stay on my nose and wore away almost immediately. It also caked up in the creases of my nostrils.
- If my sponge was anything more than barely damp it would remove huge patches of the CC Cream. I did not like this with a brush but I don’t really like anything with a brush.
The pictures above in order from left to right, top to bottom are: no makeup, one layer of just the CC Cream and then two seperate days of when I had just finished my makeup. You can click on the pictures to see them better. After first applying my makeup everything would look okay. I sure wouldn’t call it flawless but it’s passable. Within TWO HOURS everything would already be broken apart.
These pictures show all of the issues to the best of my camera’s ability to capture them. I did not brighten these or edit them in any way so that you could clearly see my pores and just how bad this looks.
I honestly don’t understand how this CC Cream is such a holy grail for so many people. I much, much prefer my NYX BB Cream which is SO much cheaper. I can even get full coverage that isn’t cakey by using the BB Cream and then using the NYX HD Concealer and NYX Hydra Touch Powder Foundation just on the places that need a bit more coverage. If this CC Cream works wonderfully for you, I am happy that it does but I returned it. Now onto the eye creams!
I did not plan to buy an eye cream but after using the sample I was very impressed with the Confidence in an Eye Cream. It is $38.00 for 0.5 a fluid ounce. That sounds ridiculously expensive to me but a little bit of this goes a very long way. I’ve never used such a rich, hydrating eye cream before that actually helps to brighten my dark circles and fill in my lines. This doesn’t erase dark circles but I definitely see a difference after using this. Here are IT Cosmetics’ claims for this eye cream:
“Perfect for even the most sensitive skin, this revolutionary moisturizing eye treatment brightens the look of your eyes to make them appear instantly more awake. While the exclusive apricot tint and Drops of Light Technology visibly color-correct and brighten, proprietary Anti-Aging Armour Rejuvenating Concentrate and other high-performance skin-loving ingredients – including a super ceramide complex, chrysin, licorice root, avocado and squalane – work to hydrate, smooth and refresh. From helping to restore the look of firmness to reducing the appearance of puffiness, dark circles, lines and wrinkles, this breakthrough product will give you powerful, clinically tested results immediately and more dramatic results over time!”
I don’t know if this will be my one and only eye cream forever because it is pricey but it DOES work very well. Hopefully, one day I can find a cheaper dupe.
I also tried a sample of the Bye Bye Under Eye Cream. It was a very nice cream as well and more cooling than this one. It would probably be great for puffy under eyes but I didn’t notice a difference in my fine lines while using it, it’s $10.00 more expensive and it’s not available at Ulta so I went with Confidence in an Eye Cream.
End Thoughts
This was a very lengthy review but I wanted to be as thorough as possible. As of right now, I’m much more interested in IT Cosmetics’ skincare and not their makeup. However, you may have a totally different experience with the CC Cream because it’s obvious from the many good reviews that my opinion is the minority. I would love to know if you’ve tried these products or anything else from IT Cosmetics and what your experience was! Thanks for reading and have a great day!
I have dark circles as well, so I have used a few brands of eye creams. However, they were not very effective. I have to admit that I sometimes forget to apply the product. Lately, I have been trying out natural remedies. I will let you know if one works.

Please do because I’d much rather not pay for a $38 cream😂 a lot of my dark circles are hereditary though so I don’t have much hope for them.
