January is one of my favorite months of the year and I’m always a little sad to see it go. My Dad’s birthday and my wedding anniversary were both this month so that’s two of the reasons I love January. I also love it because January is the month of new beginnings and fresh starts. Of course, you can make changes and start something new anytime of the year but in January it’s mentally easier to do so, at least for me. I’ve had a very productive month and I hope that continues into February. Let’s get into what is coming up over the next few weeks!

Books

The first two book reviews for February will be for Queen of Air and Darkness by Cassandra Clare and Echoes in the Walls by V.C. Andrews. I have read every book by Cassandra Clare and I love them all so I’m very excited for this one. I haven’t reviewed most of her books because I read them before I started my blog but I hope to review them all this year. Echoes in the Walls is the sequel to House of Secrets which I felt very meh about but I typically buy all of V.C. Andrews’ books so we’ll see if the sequel is better. I’m not sure what else I’ll be reviewing in February as of right now.

Makeup & Skincare

My makeup low buy is going very well so far. I used up my NYX BB Cream and HD Concealer this month so I replaced them with the new Pacifica Alight Foundation and e.l.f. 16hr Concealer. I’ll be reviewing those along with some older stuff from e.l.f. within the next few weeks. I’m also going to review a holiday set from Dose of Colors. It is limited edition but as of right now it’s still available and I thought it might be helpful to some of you to know whether it’s worth purchasing or not. As always, I’m super excited to tell you all about what I’ve been loving, and not loving, this month.

Video Games

In January I wrote my first video game review for Dark Parables: The Curse of Briar Rose, the first game in a lengthy series. In February I’ll be reviewing the next game in the series, Dark Parables: The Exiled Prince. I’m really having fun reviewing these games and creating makeup looks inspired by them. I hope some of you are enjoying them as well!
